To anybody who cares, listen up: There was a poem listed here, called How do you live your dash? but it will not be listed here any longer, as I have been told I had a "copyright violation". It was written by a lady named Linda Ellis. If you really wanna see more of her works because you'll miss seeing it here on my site, then go ahead and check out her site. Otherwise, it will not be seen here anymore. I appologize, formally, to Miss Ellis for any trouble I have caused. Other than that, you guys, just keep readin' and sendin' me your poetry, cuz as long as you're not some chicky with a copyright, then I can put you up here no problem!!! ;)
Where You Are
I know you exist somewhereSpellbinding tingle of the hazy wind,
the swirling motion of its hand.
Can anyone feel this.
The remorse of the lost petals leaving the
breeze,
wind can never hold on.
Just remember the days it once felt the rich blood
of earth, water, and its full, matted,
uneven coat, the meadows.
Sorrow brings it to despise the creatures,
slyly spreading the breath to reach out and steal hats,
if only for a minute,
or slip under a vulnerable dress.
Despite winds untolerable hate,
it takes my pity.
For although it has it's power,
the subtle passion of its forgoten touch,
feeling of the soft cold snow.
It will never remember,
nor forget
Faeries Lullaby
And thus she sang, all naked as she sat
With her heart in the clouds
And her eyes like a cats
The melodic lullaby carried swiftly through the air
Light on the words, the faeries voice smooth and fair
For herself she'll continue
Forever maybe
With her heart in the coulds
And her voice light and free
In the Night
We clutch each others hands as we walked,
and followed a moonlit path.
The full moon lighting up the velvety sky.
The stars looking down upon us, watching our every move.
The night air warm and just a slight breeze,
to caress us and lift our spirits high.
Our thumbs stroking each other, with every step we take.
The ground filled with different color flowers,
and filling the night air with theiir scent.
Reachin, reaching to meet the sky.
Feeling so good, so free, we stop, and look at each other.
Your kiss like feather, and you whisper, "I love you".
Lasting Love
As the ship was sailing
and dark grey blackish clouds were covering the sky,
she stood there at the side of the ship, hanging lightly to the rail.
Her beautiful red victorian gown flowing and swaying with the wind.
Her blond hair pulled up and sat on her head,
while soft tendrails were hanging softly around her face and neck.
She was staring down oin the dark waters and crying faintly
as she felt herself wanting to join the deep, deep dark sea.
For her love was taken from her by a silent hand.
As she she felt the coldness of the waters, she cried out;
"I'm coming my true love, wait for me at the bottom of the sea."
Look at the scar you created
Then ask how it was painted
Through eyes of an un trusting liar
Catch me I’m falling higher
Sleep my sweet don’t bother to question
The imperative message or insightful lesson
It’s the pain in my eyes you love
The pain from which you feed
Do they send you to school to develop your skill?
The bile is rising, making me ill
There is nothing left on the inside
But what is has to hide
Your not making things any better
Any better than they already are.
Stripes
Your padded paws pace the length of your jungle of concrete
While your night time watcher rests his feet
You dream of your child hood days
And how you miss the chimps annoying ways
You may think that know one will understand
Your constant longing for your homeland
But anyone who’s ever seen the hollowness of your eye
Like the way it makes you want to breakdown and cry
But as your watchers change shifts
And behind closed doors, offer lifts
You realise that maybe it’s not that bad
After all.
He who is allowed.
His eyes are circulating my house of dreams
He sits at the top of my stairs
Alone, tearful, waiting
His hands are wide and clouting at my entrance
The sound expanding
His invasion of my parlour is still embedded in my conscious
Forever around, circulating
His parcel is for me to open, beckoning on the step
Cautious, crafty, contemplating.
i wanted to say somefin, somefin real nice
i wanted to say somefin to melt a heart of ice
But i couldn’t say anything, faced against a wall
Coz i couldn’t say anything, anything at all.
i wanted to speak of my love all day
But i had to get goin, had to getaway
Coz u wouldn’t wanna hear it u wouldn’t listen
Coz its her and not me u dream of kissen
All the years’ ive known you
And all the times we’ve shared
I can’t believe that u love me
Or that you’ve ever cared
Someone with a mind like you
Deserves the right to stay
At 24
With your foot in the door
You’re just like sunshine,
Beaming like a ray.
No need to give in
Or stop the fight
Just stay away from St. Peter
With his bright light
Feel a power directed towards you
Because it’s all that I can give
I can’t see me happy
If you don’t live.
As I ride my pony flying free
gliding over the hills,
I watch the hills and trees go by
as dust flies in my face.
My hair flies back, and I come
to a sudden halt when my mother says
my name on my imaginary pony.
