What is DAN?
Divers Alert Network (DAN) is an international, non-profit dive safety organization supported by its members, the largest association of recreational divers in the world. Since 1980, DAN`s primary mission has been to improve diving safety for all recreational divers.
DAN accomplishes this goal by providing medical consultation for injured divers, collecting and analyzing diving injury and fatality information, promoting educational training programs, and by offering diving accident insurance and worldwide medical evacuation coverage to its members, and much more...
We at B&J Diving Centre are
committed to diver safety and we are proud DAN SEAP (DAN South East Asia
Pacific) Sponsors. In order to improve diver safety, we believe each diver
should
be trained in Oxygen provision for first aid.
DAN Oxygen Provider
Most injured divers are breathing and require supplemental Oxygen. The Oxygen Provider Module is designed to teach the skills needed to perform this task safely and effectively. In addition this course will introduce novice divers to the fundamentals of dive accident recognition, response and management. This program provides an excellent training opportunity for divers and continuing education for leadership-level divers and instructors.
Participants are certified in the use of DAN Oxygen Unit, or equivalent systems.

DAN Oxygen Instructor
We recommend this course to all instructors, specially to those wishing to be more active in promoting diver safety. Also there is now more pressure than ever for diving instructors and dive charter operators to ensure that appropriate oxygen equipment and properly trained and qualified oxygen providers are available where diving is conducted. Failure to do so could well be interpreted by a count of law as a breach of a dive professional`s Duty of Care.
