Want to submit something? Well, you're in luck because all fanfiction submissions will be gratefully accepted! There are a few terms to be aware of before sending me your fic:
- You will get full credit for your fanfic, including a link to your site if you have one, and an email listing for feedback.
- I will NOT lay claim to any of your work or alter it drastically in any way! I would never adulterate anything you send me, unless it has to do with html format and even then I will ask your permission first.
- This does not have to be the only site your fanfiction is hosted on- if it already exists in a number of archives that's just fine!
- The fic can be as long or as short as you want, but it must be Fake related. AU and original characters are fine, but it must tie into Fake.
- The fanfictions will be stored on Fakephoenix's server, so there will be no direct linking to htmls already posted on the web.
- Content can be anything- G to NC-17. Pairings can be anything (hetero is fine too!). Length is preferred to be under 10 chapters, but I do make exceptions. ^_~
- You may submit as many fanfictions as you want! One, two, ten... whatever floats your boat!
- The fic may be unfinished/in progress. Just keep me updated as you post more chapters! However, unfinished fics that seem to be rotting or you decide not to continue will be taken off to make room for others.
- You MUST have someone beta your fic before you send it to me- in other words, have one, two, or more people check your fanfiction for spelling, grammar, and the like. If your fic needs to be betaed I will email you back and wait until it has been checked before considering it again for posting. I'm sorry, but I don't have time to act as a beta myself, although I can help you find one. I sometimes do minute grammar/punctuation adjustments, so don't be surprised if a few periods turn into commas and the like.
- Finally, the one thing I don't like putting down, but I do think is necessary- the writing style must be decent. By decent I mean no "and then Dee walked into the room. Ryo followed him. They talked and Ryo started crying. Dee didn't know what to do. etc etc etc" Elementary School Style. Don't worry too much about it - if it's your first attempt at a fic, chances are I'll accept it.
For submitting the fanfiction(s), email me the following information (send to webmaster@fakephoenix.com):
- Your name (penname is fine).
- Your email address.
- Your website (if you have one) or other places your fiction has been hosted (if it applies. Example: fanfiction.net)
- Title of the fanfic and a short description.
- Those little details that count, such as yaoi, yuri, pairings, lemon, sap, angst, deathfic, AU (alternate universe), NCS (non-consensual sex; yes I do mean rape), etc.
- The fanfiction itself. It may be included as an attachment (this is preferred; .doc, .txt, and .html attachments only) or in the email.
Please submit a fanfiction, even if you don't think it's very good. You'd be surprised how much others will love it!
