The Falcons Football Club has been in existence since the summer of 1998. Our first ever match was against the mighty Pineridge team, a game we lost by quite a big margin. The original members of the FFC were: Nathan Murphy, Nigel Murphy, Mark Kavanagh, and David Daly. The good news is that 3 of these members are still with the FFC. Ever since summer '98, the FFC has grown from strength to strength, and if pitted against Pineridge now, we would have a great chance in reversing that first ever result!
The FFC is, basically, a 5-a-side team based in the South East of Ireland in a town called Wexford. We try to play 5-a-side games every Sunday afternoon, rain or shine. We have various opponents who we play against, but we are always on the look-out for new teams to compete with.
The FFC was founded by the team's captain, Nathan Murphy, when he brought together four players to play against a group of friends from school. At first, the FFC hadn't much luck winning games, but now, nearly 3 years on, we have a success rate of approximately 95%.
