The scene opens to show
the familiar logo of TSN's popular show Off the Record. After a few
moments the camera switches to a close up off OTR host Michael Landsberg,
just after the announcer stops with the introduction Michael Landsburg
begins with his introductions.
MICHAEL
LANDSBERG: Welcome to a very special edition of Off the Record. Today I
have the pleasure of speaking with one of my all time favorite guests,
independent wrestling star Falcon, and that is not all. We will also be
joined by famous wrestling writer and Falcon's brother in-law Johnny
Pelf. Among the topics we will be discussing today are Falcon's return
to the CMW live on Pay-Per View next Tuesday when the CMW brings
Vendetta live from Dublin Ireland. We will also discuss some of the
biggest stories in the world of sports today like the NHL Lockout. But
enough with the intro's let's get down to business.
The camera switches to a
longer shot and shows both Falcon and Johnny sitting on either side of
Michael. There is a coffee table in between the three men. Sitting on
the coffee table is three coffee mugs. Falcon is wearing a dark H2K
t-shirt and black jeans. Johnny is wearing a black pinstriped Armani
suit and Michael is wearing a dark long sleeve shirt and matching pants.
FALCON:
It's great to be here once again Michael.
JOHNNY PELF:
It's a pleasure to finally be a guest Michael.
MICHAEL: It's great to have you both here. First off Falcon, there has
been a ton of speculation to the true reason why you left the CMW. For
the record would you like to take this time and explain once and for
all?
FALCON: What kind of speculation have you personally heard Michael?
MICHAEL: Well for one, the reason you left the CMW is because you were
unhappy with the fact that you lost to Darrell Music. Another that I
have heard is you were caught backstage in a "compromising" position
with a female CMW Wrestler.
FALCON: Well Michael I will say for the record that I honestly left the
CMW to be at home with my wife Denise. At that moment in time there was
nothing more important to me then being at Denise's side and being with
her through all the complications that arose during her pregnancy.
MICHAEL: What kind of complications are we talking about?
JOHNNY: I don't think that we will get into that here Michael, if you
don't mind. Not only was it very hard on Falcon and Denise, but the
entire Family was along for the ride.
FALCON: Let me just say that on more then one occasion we all thought
that we were going to lose not only the baby, but Denise as well.
MICHAEL: I can respect that, and I am sure that the people watching at
home can respect that as well. Would you mind if I asked you the name of
your child?
FALCON: That is something that I have absolutely no problem answering.
My son's name is Anthony Shawn Sinclair. He is named after my two
brothers who passed away when I was a young boy.
MICHAEL: I'm sorry to hear that. I will say that that is something that
I never knew before. Since you are about to make your return not only to
pro wrestling, but the CMW as well, is it safe to assume that both
Mother and Son are doing well?
JOHNNY: They couldn't be doing any better. Mine and Denise's parents
have moved in with Denise and Falcon and are helping not only Denise,
but Falcon adjust to live with a child.
FALCON: And I honestly can't thank them enough for being there. If it
wasn't for there love and support I honestly don't know if I could have
gotten through the last few months.
MICHAEL: That is great to know, but moving along. Since your return to
CMW television you have talked at length about your desire to regain the
Crimson Glory Championship and your return match, should you win, will
set you up for a shot almost right away. What are thoughts about the
whole situation?
FALCON: Well Michael let me just say that I couldn't be happier. It is
about time that CMW started giving me the push that not only I, but my
fans know that I deserve. After I win this match, which I know I will, I
will beat the ever loving hell out of that pretender Mickey Boy and take
back that which is rightfully mine. The Crimson Glory Championship.
JOHNNY: That's right Michael. Last time Falcon was the Crimson Glory
Champ, he was put through the wringer. Mostly because at the time he was
associated with that pathetic stable Seek and Destroy.
MICHAEL: I wouldn't say that Seek and Destroy were pathetic. Predator
was the longest reigning Crimson Glory Champion in CMW history at the
time.
FALCON: And the ONLY reason Predator held that belt as long as he did is
because he wouldn't get in ring with me. He knew that I would kick his
ass if we ever met in the ring. That is the reason why Predator
approached me to join Seek and Destroy. He wasn't my friend he was
afraid of me. I think the Predator's philosophy on life was keep your
friends close and your enemies closer. I never joined Seek and Destroy
to further my own career, I joined because I wanted to earn Predator's
trust then turn on him and finally get him to face me in the ring.
MICHAEL: Speaking of Predator, do either of you have any idea where he
is these days?
JOHNNY: From what I have learned Predator has gone into hiding and has
retired from pro wrestling. I honestly believe he did so because he
heard Falcon was coming back.
FALCON: You know I heard something like that.
MICHAEL: On that note we have to take a commercial break. When we come
back that man *points to Falcon* will discuss the arrival of the CMW's
strangest Superstar FUBAR.
The camera fades to
another screen with the words "Quirky Fact" across the top
QUIRKY
FACT: JOHNNY PELF started out as a
backstage announcer for the now defunct Mid-Western Mayhem Promotion
(MMP). A job that he got thanks to Falcon. After the MMP Johnny started
his current job as an independent wrestling writer who has worked for
the OWA, XWA, SFW and of course the CMW. He also briefly had a weekly
column on the official Seek and Destroy website.
The camera fades to
commercial. After the commercial break the camera fades back in to
reveal the three men carrying on a conversation as the OTR music
plays.
MICHAEL: Welcome back to OTR. In case you are just joining us my guests
today are CMW star Falcon and his brother in-law Johnny Pelf. Next week
Falcon you find yourself in a match with Rayne Phoenix, Abaddon and man
known simply as F.U.B.A.R. What if any are your thoughts on having to
meet this maniac in the ring?
FALCON: Well Michael not a whole lot is known about this FUBAR. But from
what I have seen he is a man of immense power, which makes him extremely
dangerous. If he is a legitimate psycho it only adds to how dangerous he
is. What scares me about him is the fact that he is a complete unknown.
But seeing as he is standing in my way from regaining my Crimson Glory
Championship I will do whatever it takes to get past him and the other
two men involved in this match.
MICHAEL: Speaking of the other two men involved in the match do you have
any thoughts about them?
FALCON: First off there is Rayne Phoenix, who is one of the legitimate
greats here in the CMW. He has great matches with all of the greats that
have passed through the doors of the CMW, with the exception of one man.
Me. Next week Rayne Phoenix and I will finally meet in the ring and when
the dust is cleared I will be the only man left standing. Don't get me
wrong Michael, Rayne is going to be a huge threat in the match, but he
is nowhere near as good as I am. I am quite simply the greatest
technical wrestler to ever step into a ring here in the CMW. I've also
been an professional wrestler a lot longer then most men on this roster.
I am a two time former World Champion in other promotions. Here in the
CMW I have won two of the feds most recognized championships.
MICHAEL: Those being the Crimson Glory Championship of course and the
CMW Tag Team Championship, which you won with your protégé the late
Tiny.
JOHNNY: Don't you think Falcon of all people knows that?
FALCON: Relax Johnny, Michael was just reminding all the idiot wrestling
fans out there.
MICHAEL: That is something that I have never heard from you before
Falcon. I always thought that you cared more about the fans then most
wrestlers these days. I know for a fact that for a fact you give up more
of your free time to help out charities then any other celebrate on the
planet.
FALCON: That may have been true in the past, but you of all people
should know that things change. For years I gave, and gave, and gave to
the fans and got nothing in return. While I was off and being with my
wife I came to a realization that I would get nowhere in my career if I
continued to give into the fans demands. I now do things my own way and
if the fans can't understand that then they can shove it right up their
@$$#$$.
JOHNNY: As you can probably tell Michael this is a brand new Falcon.
Falcon has finally become the man that I always knew he could. He has a
lovely wife, a beautiful baby boy, and one of the most talked about
comebacks in the entire world of pro wrestling. The only downside at the
moment is that Falcon has to make his return in the absolute worst
country on the planet IRELAND.
MICHAEL: Getting back to the subject at hand. Your match in Dublin is a
Four Way and you have only talked about two of your opponents. FUBAR and
Rayne Phoenix, which leaves Abaddon.
FALCON: Well Michael I really don't have a whole lot to talk about a
generic big man, which is all Abaddon is. He is 7'6" which by the way is
two inches taller then Tiny was, but who honestly cares about that kind
of wrestler anymore these days? I know I don't, when I was out and I
would watch wrestling on TV I would tune into the lighter wrestlers
because there matches are a hell of a lot more entertaining then an all
big man match.
MICHAEL: Are you just saying that because you are a former
Cruiserweight?
FALCON: Not entirely. Sure I was a former Cruiserweight Wrestler and
World Champion in the weight class, but I also look at it from a fans
stand point. The typical wrestling fan gets more excited watching two
cruiserweights wrestle a fast paced match then sitting through a match
of nothing but punches and kicks. I myself try to incorporate all styles
into my own. That is why I am widely considered around the world as the
greatest technical wrestler on the planet today.
MICHAEL: With that said we have to go to commercial once again. When we
come back Falcon and Johnny will give their opinion on the current NHL
lock out.
With that said the
camera fades once again to the "Quirky Fact" screen.
QUIRKY FACT:
FALCON met his wife
Denise while wrestling for the Outlaw Wrestling Alliance (OWA) where she
was working as an announcer. A job that her brother Johnny helped her
get. The two got engaged and married within a year of first meeting.
Also Falcon's original wrestling weight was 171 lbs when he made his pro
debut at the age of 16.
After the commercials
are over the camera comes back in and shows the wide shot of the three
men once again. The camera switches back to a close up on Michael
Landsburg and he begins to speak as the OTR music fades out.
MICHAEL: Welcome back to Off the Record. For those of you just joining
us my guests are returning CMW Superstar Falcon and his brother in-law
Johnny Pelf. Getting right back to business let's talk about the current
lock out in the NHL. The owners have finally said enough is enough and
have locked the players out. The players on the other hand have stated
that they do not want a salary cap, which is what the owners want. Who
if anyone is at fault here?
JOHNNY: Well Michael in my opinion the owners have created this mess by
raising the contracts to the level that they are currently at. Now that
the teams are losing money they want to take away what they have given
the players. That is not the way to do business. I personally feel that
since the owners created this mess they shouldn't blame the players for
denying their proposal to slash salaries. Last time the NHL had a strike
in '94 the players weren't after higher pay checks they wanted a better
wage and compensation package for NHL alumni. Which is a great thing.
Entry level players were given a cap on what they could be paid as a
base salary, but there was no limit on the incentive and signing
bonuses. Hell if someone gave me a million dollars to sign a contract
your damn right I am going to sign the contract. If the owners were
smart and cut away all of the bonuses and gave players their base salary
and left it at that the league would be better off. As for a salary cap
come up with a realistic amount. Thirty One Million may be realistic for
a basketball team, but not a professional hockey league.
MICHAEL: Those are some great points Johnny. Do you have anything to add
Falcon?
FALCON: The way I see it I work twice as hard and get a far lot less
they the average NHL player. So I could care less either way. Besides I
don't have time to watch the NHL considering that I wrestle just about
every night in order to make ends meet. So Michael why don't we get back
to the only thing that matters to me at the moment the CMW.
MICHAEL: Okay, since your return to the CMW you have mentioned on more
then one occasion that you want to teach Harmony Hart a lesson. Why have
you targeted one of the most popular CMW Stars of all time, and why do
you feel that she belongs "Bare foot, pregnant and in the kitchen"?
FALCON: The answer to that is simple Michael. Harmony Hart is too stupid
to realize that her career has been more luck then skill. Other then
nice eye candy there really isn't much to her. I plan on teaching
Harmony a wrestling lesson she will never forget. For far too long the
CMW has been under her spell and I plan on freeing all morons from her
influence. Hell if Caleb wasn't the owner here I highly doubt she would
have ever gotten a shot at the World Championship. Then they fed her
jobber after jobber so she could retain the belt. I for one am glad to
see the belt now around the waist of John Raide. Hopefully he, with my
help of course, lead the CMW back to the promised land.
MICHAEL: What do you mean by "With my help?" Are you saying
that you aligned with the current CMW World Champion?
FALCON: Hell No. All I am saying is that know that I am back I can help
the World Champion bring the CMW back to the top. You see Michael my
return to the CMW gives the roster a legitimate wrestler on the roster.
JOHNNY: Besides Michael once Falcon regains the Crimson Glory
Championship you can bet your @$$ that he will be gunning for the CMW
World Championship.
FALCON: You know Johnny that is one HELL of an idea. Once I have
regained the Crimson Glory Championship I am going to challenge whoever
the CMW World Champion to a match and prove to the entire world that I
am the greatest champion to step foot into a ring in the CMW.
MICHAEL: We have to take one more commercial break. When we come back we
will play word association with both Falcon and Johnny Pelf.
The Camera fades once
again to the "Quirky Fact" screen.
QUIRKY FACT:
JOHNNY PELF is
currently engaged to Falcon's former Girlfriend and Manager Troy. Falcon
and Troy originally met when he was 17 while he was wrestling in Mexico.
Falcon and Troy were together for nearly 8 years before they broke up.
The Camera fades back
in from the commercial break and shows Falcon taking a drink out of his
glass. The camera changes to show Michael Landsburg. As the OTR music
dies down Michael begins to speak.
MICHAEL: Welcome back to OTR. I am joined by CMW Superstar Falcon and
his brother in-law Johnny Pelf. At this time I am going to toss names
out and both Johnny and Falcon are going to give their first thoughts.
Let's get started. First John Raide.
FALCON: One hell of a lucky wrestler.
JOHNNY: A man who is going to lose when he meets Falcon in the ring.
MICHAEL: Caleb Hart
JOHNNY: A lucky, lucky man. What can I say he gets to go home every
night and live most men's fantasies. Not mine of course I am completely
happy with my fiancée.
FALCON: A true wrestling genius. The man sure knows how to not only
promote himself but he knows how to correctly promote everyman and woman
in the CMW locker room.
MICHAEL: Before we go could you explain the T-Shirt Falcon?
Falcon looks down at
his t-shirt before he begins to speak.
FALCON: H2K was a stable that I was a part of back in 1999-2000. At the
time we were trying to cash in on the popularity of the Four Horsemen.
MICHAEL: That's cool. Anyway I hate to cut this short but we are out of
time. I want to thank both of my guests today for coming out. Be sure to
check out CMW's Pay-per View Vendetta next week to see Falcon's in-ring
return. For Off the Record I am Michael Landsburg.
The OTR music starts
up and the camera pans around the set as the camera fades to black.
!!!FADE!!!
