Monday, July 10, 2000 Ross Psuty and Glenn Mason each scored two goals and Mike Amorosi scored one as the Falcons defeated the Condors by the score of 5-2 and finished the regular season with a record of 7 wins and 3 losses.
Monday, July 3, 2000 Chris "The Rock" Honer had the game winning goal and Tom Wagner scored three, leading the Falcons to a 4-2 win over the Rolling Rocks. The Falcons gave up a goal early in the first period and allowed the Rolling Rocks to gain a 1-0 advantage. But within a short time Wagner scored two goals giving the Falcons a 2-1 lead. In the second period, wily Mike Jameson scored for the Rolling Rocks to tie the the game 2-2. Then "The Rock" went to work. "The Rock" broke free from a defender, received an incredible pass from "Bulldog" Annunziata and scored the game winning goal, making the score 3-2 and giving the Falcons their sixth win of the season. "Wolf" Wagner completed the scoring with an insurance goal making the score 4-2 and recording his second hat trick in two games.
Monday, June 26, 2000 The Hellfish came to town and were beaten by the Falcons, 8-0. Despite having only eight players the Falcons played one of their best games of the season and minimized the defensive breakdowns that plagued them in their last two games. The goals: 3 for Wolf, 2 for Mushroom Mike, 2 for The Pan Man, and 1 for Ross Steinbrenner.
Monday, June 19, 2000 The Falcons had a 2-1 lead but allowed three goals late in the game and ended up losing 4-2 to the Steamers.
Wednesday, June 14, 2000 The Falcons jumped out to a 3-0 lead but the Fighting Amish rallied and defeated the Falcons by the score of 5-4. Ross Psuty had two goals and Mike "Bulldog" Annunziata and Chris "The Rock" Honer had one goal each. The Team would like to thank Forward Fern Moreyra for his solid goaltending and regrets not playing better defense infront of him during the second period.
Monday, June 5, 2000 Glenn Mason and Ray Thek each scored a goal as the Falcons established a two goal lead, but the Stone Dogs battled back to tie the game 2-2. The penalty filled game remained tied until defenseman Mike Campbell hit Tom Wagner on the left side with a great pass. Wagner then fed Chris Honer who beat the Stone Dogs' goalie for the game winning goal, making the score 3-2. The Falcons then held on to the lead despite being a man down for nearly the last two minutes of the game. After the game Chris Honer said, "If people keep serving me the biscuit, I'll keep putting it in the basket."
Sunday, June 4, 2000 With a stunning 2 goal performance, Chris Honer led the Falcons to a 9-4 win over the hapless Phantoms. Ian Lynch made some great saves in net and Mike Campbell crosschecked and pummeled any Phantom players who stood near the crease. The Falcons other goals were scored by Mike Amorosi, Glenn Mason, Tony Kous, Mike Annunziata, Fern Moreyra, Tom Wagner, and Ross Psuty.
Wednesday, May 24, 2000 Ross Psuty had three goals and two assists and led the Falcons to a 7-3 win over Black Ice. The Falcons had a 2-1 lead with just seconds remaining in the first period when they allowed a Black Ice player to skate in and tie the score 2-2. The Falcons scored quickly at the start of the second period to make the score 3-2, but their defense faltered and Black Ice tied the score 3-3. Then the Falcons shut down the Black Ice offense and scored four unanswered goals to give themselves the 7-3 win. The Falcons also got two goals from forward Tom Wagner and one goal each from defensemen Ray Thek and Brad Seaman. The team would also like to thank Patrick Laffey for his solid goaltending on such short notice.
Monday, May 15, 2000 Tom Wagner and Brad Seaman each scored a goal for the Falcons but the Killer Bees attacked and beat the Falcons by the score of 6-2.
Monday, May 8, 2000 After giving up two quick goals in the first period, the Falcons rallied on goals by Tony Kous, Glenn Mason, and Mike Campbell. With the clock winding down, Mushroom Mike Amorosi scored the game winning goal. Goalie Ian Lynch helped to keep them in the game with some great saves and the Falcons defeated the Outlaws by the score of 4-3. |
