Origin of the Chemistry Chirstmas Carols
These Scrumdidillyumptious Chemistry Carols were brought to you straight from your webmaster's Chemistry teacher Mr. Steve Colgan, Kudos Mr. Colgan!
Joey The Burnt Hand Chemist
If you like these...
Joey, the burnt hand chemist, was a very clumsy boy;
And if you ever saw him, you might even be annoyed.
All of the other chemists, used to laugh and call him names,
They never let poor Joey join in any Chemist games
Then one smokey night in the lab, teacher came to say,
"Joey in your awful plight, won't you clean my lab tonight?"
Then, how the chemists loved him, as they shouted out with glee;
"Joey the burnt-hand chemist, you'll go down in CHEMISTRY!"

Fill the Lab
Fill the Lab
Fill the lab with test tube clatter
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
'Tis the time to study matter
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
Don we now our lab apparell
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
Chant we now the Chemistry carol
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.

See the blazing flame before us
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
Strike the vials and join the chorus
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
Follow me in merry measure
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
While I faint from lab-time pressure
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
I'm Dreaming of a White Precipitate
I'm dreaming of a white precipitate,
Just like the ones I've had before.
Where the crystals glisten; and chemists listen;
To explosions of H
2SO4.

I'm dreaming of a white precipitate,
Just like the ones I've had before.
May your days be merry and bright,
And may all you precipitates be white.
O Chemistry
O Chemistry, O Chemistry,
How lovely are your test tubes.
O Chemistry, Oh Chemistry,
How lovely are your beakers.
Your bunsen burners, burning bright,
Your sulfur smells throughout the night.
O Chemistry, O Chemistry,
How lovely are your test tubes.
