Densort
Prime (and only) suspect in the murder of Kazak'Dul.

Felilia
Proginator of the "Will of Jardinier". She died a natural death some 75 years ago but in her arrogance she wove a spell into her eulogy that would reunite her drifting soul with her body in an attempt to extend her life. This failed, by the time her soul reacher her body, it had already been twisted by Spirits of Chaos. This transformed her into a powerful Bean Sidhe (Banshee) under the total control of Zargon. Her final act before being destroyed (almost imediately) by the School was to curse the members of her own path to fall to Chaos. Over the subsequent years, all of the members of the "Will of Jardinier" (Gardeners) have been falling to the power of Zargon. The only one who has still not fallen is Gregor the Mad.

General Gavin Hark
Former Member of the Order of Steel Heart. He was expelled several months ago for practicing magic. He insists (and believes) that it is not magic, just good battle orders. In truth, it IS magic. His magic is a rare form of Fire Magic that instills battlerage in his troops. Dispite this, he still dispises magic and all who practice it. If someone tries to convince him otherwise it is highly unlikely that they will succeed. It is more likely that Hark will attack them for even suggesting such nonsense. The School of Fire is searching for him to study his abilities but if they ever find him, Hark will never come willingly.

Gregor (the Mad)
Watermage of the "Will of Jardinier." He is the last mage of this house that has not fallen to Chaos. He is totally and completely obsessed with finding a cure to the curse, this has driven him to madness. The madness is actually what prevents chaos from gripping his soul. Zargon is unable to corrupt his mind because there is no logic to it. In order to be corrupted, he needs to be able to be tempted. Nothing that Zargon has used to tempt Gregor has worked. The nature of the curse and the insanity of Gregor prevents it. He is presently living at the School of the Umbra and works for them developing poisons and potions. They know who and what he is and plan to rid themselves of him before he succumbs to the curse.

Kazak'Dul (the Lost)
One of the first students in the School of Earth. He was a member of the extinct race of Rock Gnomes and was responsible for the development of the path of "Grostein". This path of magics was instrumental in the colonizations of the World's Edge Mountains by the races of Gnomes and Dwarves that live there now. He was murdered shortly after the development of the spell "Pass Through Rock" which is a remarkably simple spell that serves as the introductary spell in the Path. His murder was never solved but it is widely believed that he was killed by his less savory rival, Densort.

Jezebel
A female elf who was abandoned by her parents at birth. She lived as a thief wandering from town to town stealing what she could and usually escaping before anyone noticed that anything had gone missing. A remarkably resourceful girl, she grew into a resourceful yet vindictive woman. When she was 19 she was captured by the town guard of a city named Volsungberg and was tried for Theft, Larceny, Vandalism, Arson, and Murder. The last three charges had been added to explain several vicious attacks in the city during the days prior to her arrest, she actually had nothing to do with them. She was convicted after a suspiciously short trial and was sentanced to hang. Before her sentance could be carried out, she escaped her cell. Unbeknownst to the authorities (and Jezebel) herself she had developed the power to "Fade". She was able to escape to the streets and a resident psionicist who sensed the ripple in the Spectral Realm caused by the Fade was able to find her before the authorities. Since, she has lived at the School of the Umbra for several years and quickly rose in rank. Now she is one of the 4 prime administrators of the School of the Umbra and is responsible for the "Caste of Assassins" within the School.

Palthor
Known as a kind of "loose cannon" in the School of the Umbra. He is the eccentric psionicist that developed the "Grounded Path" of psionics. He is considered an "elder" but only because he is the de'facto leader of the "Grounded Path" and the other elders did not want to risk rebellion in the school by not representing a particular group.

The Dark Gatherer
Not even proven to exist. He is somewhat of a "boogy-man" among wizards' circles. He is blamed for the disapearence of pretty much all mages that go missing particulalry the "Storm Crows".

Storm Crows
The term given to the disollusioned members of the School of Wind (mostly of the path "Path of the Ragewinds") who forsake the strict xenophobia of the school and study paths from different schools. They are often young and naive of the Dark, unspoken magics and will, more often than not, fall into obscurity (or worse yet, to Zargon)
