“I overslept.” He said easily.
“Rough night, huh?”  Dustin winked.
“Um yeah, you could say that.”
“You were with that girl last night, right?  Come on, you have to tell me everything.  What does she look like?  How is she in bed?  I need details.”
“Dustin, you seriously need a girlfriend and no way am I going to tell you.  I’m keeping this to myself.” He grinned.
“Why?  Aren’t you going to cut your best pal a break?” his eyes were pleading.
“First, you are not my ‘best pal’ and second I want to keep her to myself as long as possible.  I’ll tell you when I’m ready.  I’ll see you later, ok?” he started to close the door.
“Ok.  But what did she do to your neck?” he inquired through the crack.
“Goodbye, Dustin.”

With that, he shut the door.  He stepped into the bathroom and turned on the shower.  He let the water run hot.  The heat reminded him of Diana and he wanted to relive the night before.  Tonight, he would go back to her house and talk to her.
                                     ………………………

When Tristan was sure it was completely dark, he went over to Diana’s house.  He was relieved to see that it was exactly where it had been the night before.  Gradually he walked up the steps and knocked.  Diana opened the door and smiled at him.  This time she wasn’t wearing a red gown but a black one.  It had shimmering silver woven into it making her look like the night sky.  Tristan breathed deeply as he took in the beautiful sight before him.

“I didn’t think you’d come back.” She said softly.
"I had to.  I can’t stop thinking about you.  Can I come in?”

She stepped aside and opened the door wider to let him in.  He intentionally-by-accident brushed against her walking in.  They walked into the living room and sat down on the couch.

“I’m guessing by now you know what I am.  Am I right?”
“You’re a vampire.” He looked at her intensely.
“That is correct.”
“Then explain a few things to me.”
“What do you want to know?” she looked up at him.
“Well first, when did this happen?”
