Owen and Isabella walked off leaving Lila and Sarah rather confused and angry.  Isabella led Owen out into the woods, away from the village.  They talked all the way to the forest until both fell silent.

“Why do you let those two idiot girls bother you?”  Owen inquired after a long silent pause.
“I don’t know.  Usually I don’t mind.  They have been annoying me ever since we were children.  Today was different.  I had gotten a letter from a friend I missed terribly and I was just a little emotional.  That’s all.” She looked down.
“Women are always emotional.  It can to the point of sickening.” He made a face.
“Oh and men always trying to act brave and fearless by never showing any feeling at all is better?  At least women don’t gallivant around trying to beat each other.” She looked away.
“At least men don’t sit around crying all day.”  Owen grinned at her.
“Women do not cry all day!  You are clearly exaggerating!” she looked at him fiercely.
“You know, I like you like this.” He stared at her.
“Like what?” confusion filled her eyes.
“Angry.  At least you’re more fun to talk to than those stupid girls back in the village.  All they were talking about was how I would make some woman a happy wife.” He had a look of disgust on his face.
“Lila and Sarah, they’re one to be aggressive.  But you get used to them.” She grinned knowingly.
