I’m sorry...I shouldn’t have said those things about your sister.” Kevin apologized, finding that his annoyance gone when he’s around that woman. He loved the way her eyes stare deep into her, even when she’s mad.
“I’m sorry too...” DeaAnne whispered back, she didn’t know what came over her, she was always calm and reasonable. But she just had to snap at him just because the way he’s making her feel when he’s around.
AJ dropped Steph off at her house after dinner. They had takeouts from McDonald’s and they ate at the park under the moonlight.
“I know where you live now.” AJ said with a wicked smile.
“Haha, funny, I’ll be moving tomorrow.” Steph replied laughing. They said good-byes to each other, then Steph got out the car and started walking.
“Steph!“ AJ called out as he got out the car.
“Yeah?”
“Can I have your phone number?”
“Okay, I guess.” Steph couldn’t believe that AJ McLean asked for her number.
“It’s 359-8594.” AJ wrote down the number on the back of his hand, then got back in the car and waved good-bye.
Jackie entered into her room, she couldn’t believe what’s happening!
"I love my job!" Jackie thought, smiling.
“I’m not drunk! I’m fully awake, I just can’t walk straight!” Kristen yelled as Howie dragged her into his car.
“Oh, god, I learn my lesson, don’t ever, ever offer a depressed drinks.” Howie thought. He met Kristen at the club called ‘Ice Flames’. Looking at the woman next to him, her short blonde covering her face, little curls around her neck. Howie sighed; remembering that she told him her boyfriend broke up with her on her birthday.
“How can anyone let go of someone like her?” Howie removed the curls from her forehead. He had a few shots, but he could drive. He opened her purse, hoped to find an ID or something that’s going to tell him where she lives.
“Don’t touch my purse!” Kristen said laughing, took the purse away from Howie.
Howie started the car and headed for the apartment that he’s sharing with Kevin and Brian. Knowing that he didn’t have any other choices, he couldn’t just leave her there. Could he?
“How long have you been living in Orlando?” Kevin took another sip of the coffee.
“About four years. My parents passed away in a plane crash when I was 13 and Angela was just seven. We lived with my uncle until he was transferred to Canada. It took her a while to accept the fact that mom wasn’t coming back.” DeaAnne told him. She didn’t know why she was telling him her life story.
“It must have been rough.” Kevin commented.
“Yeah, I guess it was easier for her, she didn’t have that much memories of mom and dad. It’s always harder when you remember so much about them.”
“I know, I lost my father to cancer, I watched him dying, day after day. First his health then it started to get to his spirit.” Kevin sighed.
“I’m sorry, but you seem to be getting over it.”
“Yeah, life goes on no matter what.” Kevin said quietly then he started humming to second verse of Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely. ‘Life goes on as it never ends, eyes of stone observe the trends, they never say forever gaze, if only. Guilty roads to endless love, there’s no control are you with me now? Your every wish will be done...they tell me...”
DeaAnne stared at him in amazement, his deep, soothing voice seemed to make the world stop. The background noises faded out as their lips touch - gentle at first then greedily. When it ended, they were both breathless.
“No, you’re can’t go in there!” Angela closed the door to her room as Nick shot her a confusing look.
“That’s my room, and didn’t you see the sign that says ‘Keep Out’?”
“Okay, Angela, I gonna let you know a little secret, I can’t read!” Nick whispered, gave me a puppy look.
“Haha, cute.”
“Please, just let me take one look, then I’ll never bug you again!”
“Fine.” Angela said as she opened the door and then shut it quickly.
“Hey, that’s not fair!” Nick whined.
“You said ‘one’ look.” Angela pouted like an innocent child. Nick sighed, then started for the kitchen.
