Chapter Fourteen

After dinner, Angela and Nick went on a walk in the park, making small talks as they walked.

"What should I cook tomorrow?" Nick said, sounding

"Pizza." Nick gave the girl next to him an odd look.

"How?"

"It's really easy, you pick up a phone, call the pizza people. Sit back and relax then BAM! It's delivered to your door!" Angela smiled.

"You little sneaky devil." Nick laughed.

"Hey, this sneaky devil just solved your problem!" Angela fought back, an impish grin on her face.

"And thank you." Nick replied as he pulled her closer to him. "Will you go out with me?"

"You're funny." Angela began to squirm under his gaze.

"I'm serious." His eyes held so much emotions, longing, love, passion and tenderness. Angela's heart pounded crazily as she saw the truthfulness in his eyes, she couldn't move, just scarcely breathing. Her knees started to grow weak as Nick brushed his knuckles against her cheek.

"I can't cook." Angela blurt out, she felt the need to say something to break the silence.

"I already know that, but you can order pizza!" He replied.

"I can't clean or do laundry." Angela said, thinking of all the reasons why he shouldn't asked her out.

"I don't need a housekeeper or maid."

"I can't manage your music or your career."

"I don't need a manager."

"I'm not a social person, I'm not good with people."

"Neither am I."

"Then, what do you want?" She asked at last, defeated by his sweetness.

"Just you."

Angela had never thought a two-word phrase could make her heart leap. "Then, the answer is yes."

"Thank you." They exchanged a smile as they walked back to the house, hand in hand.
