"What have I done?" Angela asked herself as she
sank into the soft covers of the hotel bed. She had just pushed the only
man in her life out the door and she was certain that he would never come
back again. But he didn't believe her, she reminded herself. He didn't
trust her enough when the little scheme of Marissa and Sarah planned happened.
He turned away, he left her alone to fight and the worst of all, he walked
out leaving her with his words which stabbed her heart like a sword.
A
gentle knock on the door awoken her from her trance, without thinking who
it might be, she opened the door. Kevin's arms embraced Angela at the sight
of her.
"Kevin? What are you doing here?" Angela stared
at her friend in surprise.
"I'm the messenger." Kevin smiled. After hours
of consultant and discussion, the boys sent Kevin to explain everything,
since he was the closest to Angela and Amanda refused to help Nick. Her
reason was that if he didn't felt that his feeling for her best friend
was enough to trust her, he doesn't deserve her.
"Let me guess...for Nick?"
"Yep. He really is sorry about what happened."
Kevin explained as he took a seat on the bed.
"Does he know what 'really' happened?"
"He understands now that you didn't do it and he needs you back. God, Angela! You should have seen him! He was different, different as in he didn't say a word except the phrase 'I miss you.' and he's saying that to a picture of you! Are you still mad at him?"
"I'm not mad or angry at him or his choice, just
disappointed. Disappointed that he didn't 'know' that I would never do that. I'm disappointed in the fact that he would turned his back to me whenever someone told him that I used him or lied to him." Angela whispered, her face was hid in the darkness, but it didn't hide the hurt in her voice.
Kevin looked at his childhood best friend, his almost sister closely. He realized that flowers and gifts were not going
to get Nick out of this one. Nick didn't just hurt her, he had destroy
or crushed the slightest hope inside Angela. She trusted him, she would
never have doubt him just because someone said something, and she would
have listened to him. But Nick didn't. "I'm sorry this is the way it is...
I have to go back now."
"Bye, Kevin." Angela opened the door behind her
as she closed her eyes and hoped that the tears wouldn't escape from them.
