“What’s going on about tonight?” I looked over at Kian as I hanged up on Miriam after saying our goodbyes. I rolled my eyes at him playfully. I saw that Bryan was busy chatting up another dancer; I think her name was Annett. She had long blonde hair with brown eyes. She’s in her 20’s – well I assumed that she was in her 20’s. Early 20’s by the looks of it. They were deep into conversation. I think Nicky was also talking with another dancer called Sylvana as well. She also had long brown hair that was straight; her eyes were also brown. She was also in her early 20’s too. Huh! It seems I’m the youngest in this group. Joy! “I’m having a girl’s night. We’re gonna go clubbing. And no, you can’t come.” Kian crossed his arms and Ashley rolled her eyes at him and smacked his head as I shook my head. I could tell that she liked him. I think Kian liked her back. Shane was smiling like an idiot, grabbed me towards the centre of the dance floor, and started twirling me about. I had tears down my face due to laughing at his mock stupidity. He was fast becoming my best friend. He was great fun to be with. It didn’t escape my notice that Lou was all over Mark yet again. It was as if she was mocking me; making me jealous. After that we all started practising again, well us girls did. I kept getting it wrong due to Shane and Kian pulling faces and interrupting Mark’s singing by twirling me about and skipping about. The others complained that I should get my step back. I tried!!!! Bleeding hell! Soon after a few hours of mis steps, I finally managed to get my dance right whoohoo! See me jumping for joy. I had to ask the guys to quit messing me about because dancing was important to me. They respected my request though which was nice of them but I felt so guilty because yelled at them due to being frustrated. I was looking forward to clubbing tonight with the girls but it turned out that Lou invited the lads! Damn, it was meant to be a nice girlie night out. We haven’t had one for ages but…she ruined it. Oh well! When we got back to our hotel, I went straight to the bathroom and immediately ran a nice bubbly hot bath for me to relax. I went into my room and opened my wardrobe to decide which clothes I was going to wear tonight. Which wasn’t a lot of contest since there’s lots of various tops and trousers. I don’t like – actually, I hate wearing skirts and dresses. I’m a complete tomboy. I heard Ash in the other room asking about the bath. It took me a second to register. OH CRAP! I ran in the bathroom and saw the bath was nearly flooded so quickly dove my arm in the water and I swore out loud – it was freaking hot! Tears sprang to my eyes as I yanked the plug out. I swore a blue streak so much even if my own mother was next to me, she would get a heart attack. I waited until the water was at a reasonable level and I put the plug in. Again hotness. I decided to leave the water to cool down but not before dipping my arm in cold water. At times, I can be such a ditz. Anyway, I went back to my room to see Ashley sitting on my bed. So much for privacy. She looked at me and took a look at the clothes I was thinking of wearing and shook her head telling me that there was no way I was gonna be wearing that. I asked why. Turns out she’s gonna give me a makeover. NOOOOOOOOOOOO! “No way! I prefer to be dressed in my own individual way.” Ashley just scoffed and pushed me to the bathroom and told me to get scrubbed up good and that she would do the rest. Well there’s no changing her mind at all. It took me half hour to have my bath, you know shaving, washing my hair blablablabla. I didn’t even take one foot out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel before Ash grabbed my hand and dragged me to her room and sat me on her bed. She soon dried my long hair and used a blowdryer on it so that it would dry quicker. She did a style that made my hair slightly wavy and left it down. She said that I always had it up. Which was true, I never had my hair down really. Less hassle I guess. Then she started spouting off about make up. Hell no! I got up to run out of the room but she wouldn’t have it. I sighed as she told me to shut my eyes. She did her thing but wouldn’t let me see what I looked like. At least not yet. She laid some clothes out for me to wear and told me to wear them. She left me alone in her room so I could have privacy to get dressed. Oh my god. She wasn’t serious about THIS was she? I swore at Ashley about how stupid this was but she didn’t reply. I’m gonna get her back after tonight I swear to god I will. I grumbled as I put the outfit on and I called Ash saying I got dressed. Well her face when she walked back in was priceless. It was like she didn’t recognise me. She directed me to the mirror, still not speaking, I frowned at her slightly worried that I looked like a bigger freak. However, my god when I saw myself in the mirror. I didn’t recognise myself. I touched my face with my right hand, almost feeling all teary. I looked beautiful. She made me look beautiful. I was wearing silver eyeshadow with black eyeliner bringing out my hazel eyes a lot more. I was wearing a short denim skirt with a black strapless top. I had on knee high black boots and I looked over at Ash and I signed to her thanking her. She gave me a hug and started fussing over my hair. She dabbed a few silver glitter on my cheekbones. She said that I looked like an angel compared to Lou. I laughed. I heard the doorbell go and Ash nodded at me and went to answer the door. But it wasn’t long until she came back smirking. Ok what is up with your evil look my dear best friend?? “Everyone’s here. We’re waiting for you. Hurry your butt up.” I rolled my eyes as I grabbed my leather jacket and I followed her into the front room. The guys were talking but I was met with silence as Ashley stepped aside to reveal me. I felt a hot blush on my face as I fidgeted, not comfortable with the silence. It was Miriam who broke it. “Holy crap. Emma?!” |
