Chapter 7

Her daughter. When did she become a mother? He had been standing outside the door when he heard Emma’s introduction inside the room. He quietly walked off before anyone had seen him. Confusion began to eat away his body so he decided to sit on a bench outside in the warm sunny day. It was then he remembered an argument that he had with Emma the night before he left.

*Flashback*

“You really think that I’m dumb?!”

“No! Of course not!”

“Don’t you see? I can see you mooning over him!”

“I’m not!”

“Don’t lie to me dammit!”

“I’m not! I’m tel…”

*Smack*

The couple that had been arguing was both stunned, that he could hit her even when he swore that he never do. It hurt. Emma touched her red cheek as unshed tears threatened to spill down her face looking at her boyfriend. He was shocked that his anger had gotten the best of him. His heart broke as his angel had a bruise forming on her face already; because of what he just did. He had started to go to her.

“Emma…”

“No! Get out!”

“Em..”

“I said GET OUT!!”

He could hear the sobs that were coming from her s he kept his head down in same. They both knew that their relationship was over as he walked out of Emma’s house. Tears streamed down his face as he climbed into his red car. He apologised to the winds as he drove off – remembering the good times that they had both shared.

*End Flashback*

While he was remembering, he felt a lone tear fall gently down his face. He had regretted that night ever since and he still did. He lost the best thing that ever happened to him. He was barely aware that someone was standing in front of him. He reached out and held Emma, wrapping his arms around her waist, hugging her close, and apologising non-stop as the tears began falling.

“I’m so sorry babe. I never meant to hurt you that night.”

Emma’s heart ached, letting him hug her close. She stroked his hair while whispering that it was all right and that she didn’t blame him for what happened. She carried on soothing him until he had calmed down.

“Really?”

“Really. You were angry, it was understandable. I also knew that you never meant to hit me. I never blamed you Kian.”
