It's only a quick glimpse as her dragon soars over Tokyo, but Kurai remembers it well. People tend to remember giant monkeys climbing up the sides of high-rise buildings.

The monkey looks distressed. Kurai has no idea why it's so huge, or why it's dressed as a pirate. As she watches, the monkey plucks a blonde-haired woman from the crowd. The woman screams.

The monkey lets her corpse fall, and Kurai sees a flash of gold in its paws.

If it's not one thing destroying Tokyo, it's another. Kurai thinks humans are stupid.
