"I am finally seeing why I was the one worth leaving" the postal service, the district sleeps alone tonight

You know what I love about living in the country?

I love driving with my windows down listening to my music quite loudly, and smelling the smell of corn that is in the process of growing.
It actually makes me insanely happy!
I was just driving into town the other day, and while I was stopped at a stop sign, I realized how much I loved that smell. How closely I associate it with things like being a happy little child, playing in grandma and grandpa's fields, and cross country practice.

I also love sitting on the back porch eating breakfast/lunch with my best friend and hearing in the distance the sound of combines collecting the wheat.
It's something I don't notice often, but today whilst Megan and I were talking and crying about how stupid we are, I realized how I loved the quiet sounds of the surrounding fields and farm equipment.

That being said, farm equipment driving on roads while I am in my compact foreign car or running/biking still scares the living daylights out of me.
