Personally, I do not feel any need to 'throw' my kids out of our family bed.
The main reason we moved them into our bed in the first place, was we thought it was the best place for them. Most of the arguments we used, did not change after a few months.
Therefore, the right time for the children to move out of the family bed, will be only when they prefer sleeping elsewhere.
