There's No Justice In That.. Sadly, Corruption In The Child Welfare System Has Become A Serious Epidemic In This Country. It Has Become A System Which Enables Children To Stay In Homes Filthed With Physical/Sexual/Emotional Abuse & Neglect & Where Their Lives Are Constantly At Risk And Substance Abuse Is "Okay" While Kids In Good Stable Healthy Homes With A Loving Family Structure Where Love & Supporting Family Is The Ultimate Way Of Life, Are Ripped Away From These Homes Why? There Is No Good Reason Or Justice For It. Its Such An Epidemic That No One Is Shocked About It. Only The People (The Government, State Child Welfare Workers, Judges With Their Benches In Jeopardy)Who Are Guilty Of It Are Shocked That People Like Me Are Naming Names And Someone Like Me Isn't Just Working to Bring My Own Kids Home But Is Making A Life Practice Of That & Helping Other Families Reunify With Their Kids After "These People" Have Destroyed Their Families Too.

I Want To Make A Note Of A Particular Situation I've Been In That I Just Advised A Mother On Who Had Inquired About Procuring A Lawyer To Get Her Son Back From An Unfit Father. She Turned Over Temporary Custody To Her Son To Her Father Who Was Stable At The Time And She Was Struggling. So She Did What She Thought Was The Best Thing For Her Son. But The Boys Father Deceived Her And Is Refusing To Give The Boy Back Even Though She Is In A Far Better Situation For The Child To Live In. She Came To Me And Asked About Procuring A Lawyer. I Think She Pretty Much Has An Open & Shut Case That Isn't Going To Require A Lawyer. It Is A Simple Matter Of Getting Custody Of Her Son By Proving His Neglect & Instability. She Just Needs 60 Days Of Documented Proof That The Child Is Being  Neglected And In A Bad Situation In Order To Petition The Courts For Custody. She Can Make An Appointment & Present Proof To A Judge And In Most Cases Just Out Of Professional Courtesy The Judge Will Appoint A Lawyer To Those Who Can't Hire A Private Attorney But Can Prove That They Can Provide For A Child. When I Got Nicholas Back, I Was Going Down The Same Road - I Began Documenting His Condition When He'd Come To My Home Every Weekend. I Was 2 Weeks Into Collecting Evidence Of Neglect When Fate Stepped In And His Dad & Step Mom Were Arrested And DCFS Stepped In. Nicholas Was At My Safe Home When This Happened. I Couldn't Afford A Lawyer. I Was Appointed To One. I Took The Evidence I Had On Nicholas' Being Neglected By His Dad Added To The Criminal Charges Placed On His Dad & Step Mom And It Was Easy To See How Much Better He Was Doing With Me. I've Had Him Since & He's Doing Good. He Just Misses His Brothers.

My Point Is That There May Be Ways To Get Around Needing Or Using A Lawyer. Personally For Me I Need A Dream Team Of Lawyers & About 50 Erin Brockovich's Or Masry/Vittitoe Like Counsel Because Case On Carter Is Almost Unappealable Especially After 3 Years. But I Definitely Won't Bring Him Home If I Don't Take A Chance & Do My Best. He's Worth It. Shelden's Case Won't Be So Hard But We're Talking Interstate Compact Obstacles & A  Federal Criminal Suit Between Utah & California So I Need A Lawyer There Too. But People, My Point Is Nothing Is Ever Hopeless.Its Only As Hopeless As We Make It. There Are Loopholes Around The System. My Case Was Full Of Corruption And I Intend To Prove It. There Are Support Groups Out There To Help You - Mine And Others. So See What Can Be Done. Research & Question Everything.

And A Quick Helpful Tip I Tell Everyone I Can. If CPS Comes To Your Door Even With A Police Offer Or Two Or More, In  A Lot Of States (And I Advise You To Check Into Your State's Agency For Your Rights On This)You Don't Have To Let Them In Unless They Have A Warrant Signed By A Judge And Most Case Workers Don't Want To Bother With That Red Tape. They Just Want To Scare You. Don't Be Intimidated. One Of Their Tricks I Didn't Know At The Time Was This Very Thing. I Was Sick When I Found This Out After The Fact. Once You Let Them In Because They Intimidated You To,  They Will Try To Find Any Small Ground They Can To Take Your Kids Because That's What They're Paid To Do. My Caseworker Got A Good $5000 To Get My Kid Adopted Out. FIGHT BACK! Even With Cops & A Court Order, You Still Have Rights. Use Them, Your Kids Are On The Line.
