Definitions
A portable station comprises field equipment from a power source eg batyteries, portable generator, solar power, wind power, independent of any permanent facilities. All equipment comprising the portable station must be located within an 800 mtr diameter circle. A single operator station is where one operator performs all operating, logging and spotting functions. A single operator may only use a callsign of which he/she is the official holder. A single operator may not use a callsign for which he/she is a sponsor except as part of a multi operator entry. A multi operator station is where more than one person operates, checks for duplicates, keeps the log, performs spotting etc. A multi operator station may use only one callsign during the contest. Multi operator stations may use only one transmitter on a given band at a given time, regardless of hte mdoe used. Multi operator stations must use a separate log for each band.  A station operated by a club, group of organisations wil be considered to be multi-operator by defailt. None of the portable field equipment may be erected on the site more than 28 hours before the beginning of the contest.  Single operator stations may receive moderate assistance prior and during the contest, except for oprating, logging and spotting. Massive logistic support by clubs, etc is totally against the spirit of the contest and may result in disqualification and, at the discretion of the Manager, may be banned from this contest for up yo three years. Phone includes SSB, AM and FM. CW includes CW, RTTY and Packet. It is not expected that any other modes will be used in the contest, but if they are they shall be classed as CW. All HF amateur bands except WARC may be used. VHF/UHF means all amateur bands above 30 Mhz. On 6 m the region below 50,150 Mhz had been declared a contest free zone. Contest CQ's and exchanges may take place above this frequency. Stations violating this rule will be disqualified.
Cross band. cross mode an contacts made via repeaters are not permitted for contest credit. However repeaters may be used to arrange a contact on another freqency, providing a repeater is not used for the actual contact.
Stations may make repeat contacts and claim full points for each one. For this purpose the contest is divided into eight consequtive three hour blocks.01-04, 04-07, 07-10, 10-13, 13-16, 16-19,19-22, 22-01 UTC. Repeat contact may be made once in these three hour blocks, providing they are not consequtive and are separated by at least five minutes. Exchange RS(T) plus a three digit serial number commencing at 001 and incrementing by one for each contact. Portable stations must indicate that they are portable by sending their callsign followed by P, eg 569001P. Multi operator stations must use a separate log for each band and commence each band with 001.
Receiving stations must record the exchanges sent by both stations. QSO points wil be in the same basis as Home stations, unless the receiving station is portable. The contest manager's decision is final and no negotiations will be entered into.
