Dear Friends,
Hope you're doing well this Christmas season. Here's a quick update on the Reynolds family:
Jason moved out in October...he and two other guys live in a duplex on the other side of Porterville. He works as a checker @ Save Mart supermarket here in Porterville.
Nate finished his second full-time semester at Porterville College. He spends quite a bit of time at Jason's and he's seriously contemplating job-hunting.
Andrea is in 7th grade at Burton Middle School. She enjoys her school subjects, dance and church youth group.
Kristen goes to preschool 2 days/week while Cindy is at school in Fresno. She enjoys life in general.
Cindy's at the midpoint in her studies for an M.A. in Counseling and Marriage/Family counseling certification. Also this semester, she team-taught a class in parenting.
I'm still working for Porterville Schools--developing curriculum and teaching science as well as coordinating the home/hospital program.
My dad had a long-term bond with trains and railroading. I guess my brother, Greg, and I "bonded with trains" a bit too. A couple of years ago, I helped him get started with "G" scale trains--big enough to play with but not big enought to ride on. I also found out about a place in Fresno, CA that builds equipment for 7.5" track--BIG ENOUGH TO RIDE ON! So, I've bought a train I can ride on. I think dad would have enjoyed it!
Have you seen the video by Max Lucado entitled You Are Special? It's worth seeing--again and again.
Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas! Write when time permits.
Love,
Steve for all |
