Chapter Three Looking in your eyes, Seeing all I need. Everything you are, Is everything to me. "Why is it so hard?" he choked, trying to wipe away the tears, but failing as they spilled down his cheeks. I reached across the table and placed my hand reassuringly on his. He stayed and we talked for another ten minutes before my break was over. It wasn't until he was leaving that we exchanged names. "I'm Kelli." I said, shaking his hand. "Ashley." He replied. "Thank you, Kelli." I went home from work that night on the subway, the same way I always did. To me, something was different. I can't explain it, but I had a feeling... sort of like my life would be working out alright afterall. I fell asleep knowing our conversation had somehow touched Ashley, though I knew I'd probably never see him again. I was wrong.
