Chapter Two

By Wu-Man's Gurl

*CRASH*!!!

The sounds of five people -- namely Hawke Jinjia, Jheremi Gracce, Shaou Hai, Ariel Shanghai and Cresent DiVoccae -- racing into Taise's room, tripping over eachother and falling to the floor echoed throughout the once silent hallways of the Jedi temple.

"What the *hell* are you guys doing here?" Taise yelled angrily.

"Crashing in on the subject," Ariel replied while attempting to get away from Jheremi.

"Too late for *that*. Let me guess, the council sent you five to eavesdrop, right?" Taise asked with a hand on her hip.

"We knew that it would take longer to *help* you put that damn crystal away than it would to go to the council chambers. Besides, it's not like we're any earlier than when we're late." Cresent said, pulling her brother Hawke off the floor.

"Taise, who is he?" Hawke inquired, pointing at Grag.

"Who's who?" Taise and Cresent asked in unison.

"That boy sitting on your bed!"

"What boy?" Taise asked her master.

"I see only four girls, two idiots and one sports player from Ojabei. I don't see any boys," Cresent replied with a smirk.

Just when they all started to laugh, Hawke excluded, Qui-Gon entered the open doorway.

"You *children* are keeping the Jedi council waiting longer than they wish," he scolded. "You are lucky that the council is patient with you all. Now report to the council room immediately."

"But we're just having a little fun," Taise whined.

"NOW!"

"Uhrowr," Cresent replied haughtily, rolling her eyes as she grabbed Taise by the braid and started walking out the door. Automatically, Taise grabbed onto Hawke who grabbed Shaou, who in turn grabbed Jheremi who pulled a very unwilling Ariel along just as she grabbed Grag.

The council members listened to Mace Windu arguing -- more or less talking to *himself* -- about a mission Taise and Cresent were proposed to take. They had no idea that the afore-mentioned pair were hatching a plot to annoy the council even more than usual.

"On this mission, the following people shall go," Ki-Adi Mundi said, "Hawke Jinjia and his apprentice Taise Re, Cresent DiVoccae and her apprentice Shaou Hai, Adi Gallia and her apprentice Siri, Binx Jinjia and his apprentice Jheremi Gracce, Kel Vei and her apprentice Ariel Shanghai, and Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The Jabrican warriors moaned at Siri's name, but knew that they wouldn't be let off so easily. Another reason to make the council's lives *livelier*.

"Seeing as this is a dangerous mission, I'll be accompanying you," Mace added. /Actually, it's to make sure that those Jabricans don't do anything stupid, but they don't have to know that,/ he thought to himself. No sooner had he spoken did Taise and Cresent step forward.

"Master Windu, would you *really* risk your *life* on a spaceshipe with someone that is clausterphobic?" Taise asked, smiling angelicly, knowing that her clausterphobia was great enough that she had to be sedated in order to fly through space.

"Or would you risk your life being on our *home* planet with us, where we know how to blend in and make your life miserable?" Cresent asked, raking her claws down the palm of her hand, drawing blood. She didn't bother to add, 'and if we didn't get to you first, the natural inhabitants would.'

Hearing a moment of silence, Ariel and Shaou stepped forward.

"With all due respect, we can't go," Ariel said, dragging Shaou with her.

"Speak for yourself, Ariel! I'm going!" Shaou shouted.

"But we have finals in the morning and we already promised Andre we would sutdy with him!" Ariel replied, nudging Shaou in the ribs.

"Ouch! Uh, yeah, that's right. I have finals tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me *Ariel*," Shaou replied, stomping on Ariel's foot on her way out. Mace looked afraid, very afraid.
