Title: With bed-ly force Deeply asleep, Kate didn’t hear the motorcycle gunning up the street, pulling in outside her apartment building. She was vaguely aware of the sound of the door opening, the alarm de-activated then, almost immediately, the electronic bleeping reassuring her it was re-activated. The sound of leathers being removed, zippers, press studs, then the soft creaking of the clothing as it was pulled free. She smiled softly, turning onto her side, away from the door that opened a moment later. Bare feet padded across the bare wood floor, the narrow muscled frame outlined in the light through the window opposite. The brief cool sensation of bedclothes lifted then an arm across her belly, pulling her close, all without the silence broken. ‘You’re alive.’ A soft low chuckle in response, then a soft whisper. ‘Were you hoping otherwise Caitlin?’ Still refusing to turn or open her eyes, Kate wriggled against the hard body, scenting leather and sweat. ‘They believed you.’ She couldn’t help the note of relief in her voice. ‘Eventually.’ Ari replied softly, his own voice better at hiding what he had been through to earn their trust a third time. His arms slid under and over her, cupping her bare breasts, fingertips trapping her hard nipples. ‘Good things come to those who wait, right?’ Kate moaned softly at the gentle pinching. ‘Please…’ ‘Please what Caitlin?’ Ari teased, stroking, dropping kisses on her neck and shoulders, hands and lips working in perfect harmony. Kate’s soft moan was sufficient response. Carefully, Ari lifted himself up, straddling the soft warm body between his thighs, hands trying to cover every inch of the smooth pale flesh under his fingertips, watching the muscles twitch. Wordlessly, breathing softly he stroked and squeezed, committing to memory the image of the dark hair, tossed over the shoulders and cream pillows, shoulders arching up to meet his fingers, soft panting breaths reaching his ears. Without warning, he slid his hand under her belly, her thighs lifting and parting obediently. Her soft moans and whimpers encouraged him and Ari entered her with a single thrust, his own needs taking over. **************************** Later… Ari chuckled softly. Leaving the front door unlocked, even in this neighborhood, was unwise. However, there was little of value in the house and the only locked door was to the basement. Gibbs heard the door, heard no sounds of the house being burgled and sighed, rolling onto his back, waiting. The shower ran for a brief time, then the water stopped and Gibbs fought the rush of feelings that assailed him until Ari appeared in the doorway, his shadow reaching the foot of the bed. ‘Hey.’ Gibbs appraised the naked man. ‘Still got all your vital organs?’ Ari chuckled, turning, the light catching every one of the several dozen deeply-etched welts across his back. ‘A little less skin, but yes.’ Gibbs stared at the angry red wounds impassively, eyes narrowing as Ari approached the bed. ‘They believed you.’ Ari nodded. ‘Yes. How is Gerald?’ Gibbs took a deep breath. ‘Almost has full use of his arm and hand. Another few weeks the doctors say.’ ‘You could have put a round in my brain. Why didn’t you?’ Ari climbed onto the bed, lifting the bedclothes over himself. Gibbs considered the question for several seconds. ‘I was following orders.’ Ari chuckled softly, reaching a fingertip out to cautiously stroke Gibbs chest from the exposed throat down to where the flesh ended in white cotton, his fingers instinctively sensing the quality of the sheet, using the moments to judge Gibbs’ mood. ‘Mine are to return on the next flight.’ Gibbs locked eyes with the younger man. ‘In the morning?’ ‘In a few hours.’ Gibbs slid his hand up to grip Ari’s neck firmly. Breathing in, he frowned. ‘Perfume?’ Ari blushed, grateful for the darkness of the room. ‘I have other…contacts.’ Gibbs decided not to waste time being angry. ‘She said you had kind eyes.’ Ari stared at Gibbs, realizing what he had thought was secret was not. ‘They should pay you more. You’re smarter than all of them put together.’ Gibbs smiled. ‘You’re just figuring that out?’ He pulled Ari firmly down, onto his back, leaning over the still shower-damp body beside him. ********************************** Gibbs woke and frowned at the unfamiliar sound as his body disturbed the bedclothes. Bills, dozens, all hundreds as far as Gibbs could work out covered the sheet and the floor around the bed. Among them, a sheet of notepaper with ‘For Gerald’ scrawled across it. Gibbs sighed, stretched muscles stiff from sudden and prolonged use hours earlier. Smiling at the discomfort as he moved, he hissed in a sharp breath and hoped a shower and some coffee would force his body to wake up. ******************************* Tony looked from Kate to Gibbs, frowning. Something was…hinky. Definitely hinky. Leaving the two, from which he had received no sensible answers to any questions since they arrived within a few minutes of each other, he went down to the basement. Hanging out with Abby, even if she was messing around with bits of their latest corpse, would be preferable to wasting any more time trying to get a full sentence out of the boss or Kate. Besides, he could do with spending some time standing up. He knew from experience that sitting was going to be uncomfortable for a day or two. End Send me feedback on these fics
