THE DAMNED SOLD OUT! Excellent turn out on a cold November night in the second city, can’t remember seeing so many people at a Midlands Damned gig for many, many years.

The venue was packed with the band in one corner looking & sounding fantastic! Captain in red beret, shades & “Don’t Bomb Iraq” shirt, Vanian flying around the stage like a man possessed, in fact the whole band on top form.

Started with “Street of Dreams” & then in no particular order they banged out “I Fall”, “Disco Man”, “She”, “Song.Com”, “13th Floor”, “Ignite”, “Under The Floor Again”.

"Eloise", “Democracy”, “Thrill Kill”, “Nasty”, “Curtain Call” followed by a “New Rose” drum intro to “Would You Be So Hot”, finishing with “Smash It Up” ( Part 2 only as they’d run out of time!) I’m sure they played some more but you get the gist, great to hear “Curtain Call” – what a treat. Captain’s playing on “Under The Floor” is quite astonishing & has become a firm favourite live.

I hope the band enjoyed as much as the audience, I know it’s been a long hard year of relentless touring since the last show in Birmingham last November but they sound better than ever. “Grave Disorder” is a fine record & live they just get stronger & stronger.

Also top merchandise on sale. Thanks to everyone concerned.
