Sunday 20th October 2002

WOW! what a great night! Tsunami Bomb came out with a blistering set of new songs from their latest effort Great Escape. Followed by an over the top performance by The Tiger Army in which Nick 13 chewed some guy a new asshole for smoking pot during their set "What the fuck! this aint the 60's" Nick proclaimed, then he dedicated the next song to everyone but the guy smoking pot, how fun!

As for The Damned, all I can say is thank you so much guys, you made my dreams come true by playing Street Of Dreams as your fist song of the night. Though the set had been reduced due to Pinch having spent the morning in the hospital for his shoulder, which he had injured the night before. None the less The Damned pulled through like always, with Captain Sensible being his usual self, they played all the hits from Melody Lee to New Rose during which they invited Tsunami Bomb on stage, as Dave sang it for Agent M. (lead singer of T Bomb), as the rest of Tsunami propped The Captain up on their shoulders!

During Smash It Up Dave hands over the mic to a local punk rock legend named Billy Christ who managed to get out the last few bars "I said now everybody's smashing things down yea!", after which Patricia Morrison told Billy he was better than Johnny Thunders (which really isn't saying much) who had done the song with the band a few years before. Billy Christ also asked The Captain to sign his penis, and The Captain agreed, I'm not sure which one of them is more fucked up, Billy asking for it or The Captain for actually doing it!! I have pictures to prove it happened, and it is nice to know that their are still some real sick punk rockers left in this world!!

To Patricia and Dave I say thank you for being such nice people and that you made my century, it was fun taking care of you guys while you were here, and I hope our paths cross again someday!

Thanx,
