Captain's a what...?!

This was an excellent gig and will be remembered for the surprise appearance of Paul Gray.

Paul took over bass duties during Curtain Call and Neat Neat Neat. He looked pretty damn cool despite falling flat on his arse! As he walked off stage Captain pointed at him and said "Ladies and gentleman...BRYN MERRICK"!

The other highlights of the show included blistering versions of 'Ignite', 'Song.Com' and 'History of the World'. During 'Happy Today' Captain pulled Monty's leggings down revealing his white arse.

The Muni is a converted church which prompted a sermon from Sensible about the evils of religion and suggested we all worship Jimi Hendrix. The Captain was also presented with a large banner stating 'Captain Wanker'. He said that this sort of thing upsets his girlfriend...

The band are at the height of their powers now. They're really tight and are obviously having fun on stage and joking amongst themselves. Monty is stark raving mad and great to watch. Dave is a more confident (and energetic!) front man than ever before. Patricia and Pinch are red hot.

After the gig I had a nice chat with the Captain and Paul Gray. Both lovely blokes. I also had the belated brainwave of introducing myelf to Jed and asking her if any message boarders were around. I had the great pleasure of meeting Mr Claypole, Tom Kearney, Nitegirl and Green Fairy. All great people. Next time I'll try and meet you all BEFORE the gig!

Another...

What can I say, another blinding gig!

Again the band are definately getting better opening with a personal favourite Ignite. T they played really tight and the only technical difficulties was during Curtain Call when Paul Gray got up and played, nice to see him playing with The Damned but give me Patricia every time.

All the band were in high spirits especially Sensible and Monty who is totally mad and great to watch. Vanian never seems to age.

They seem to change the set list more freqently which is great but I'm constantly amazed how great they are these days but get no media coverage.

Had a chat with Monty about the Glastonbury gig which was blinding by all accounts, just look foward to next time and having a Damned good time.
