Temple Bar Music Centre - Dublin
9th June 2001
I'll
keep this brief and to the point.
The venue was small and compact but full to the rafters with a crowd of serious
Damned fans. Sensible was his usual entertaining self but Dave Vanian was
on fire. Very animated and well up for it.His rapport with the captain and
with monty was a great sideshow. The music was awesome! A few new numbers which
sounded great but crammed in a great selection of the old favourites. Great
versions of Curtain call, Eloise and Plan 9 Channel 7.
Also got impromtu versions of Happy Talk and Chris De Burgh's Lady
in Red. Overall an excellent night and a top notch perfomance. Cannot
wait for the new album and am praying that The Damned return to Dublin as
quickly as possible.
ps.where did Monty learn to dance?
