Directions:
|
- Take
the 5 and watch for signs. You can't miss is. Get off on Ball or whatever
Disneyland sign you see and go to downtown disney.
The House of Blues is in downtown Disney.
-
From
Interstate 5 -Traveling South:
Exit Disneyland Drive Anaheim. Follow signage to the Downtown Disney
District. Stay in the right hand lanes. Make a right on Magic Way.
The on left hand side you will see the Downtown Disney District parking
lot.
From
Interstate 5 -Traveling North:
Exit Harbor Blvd. Make a left on Ball Road. Make another left on Disneyland
Dr. Then right on Magic Way and you will see parking lot on left hand
side.
If
you plan on being in the area for any length of time you may be better
off parking in the Theme Parks parking for $7 all day, there is a
tram that runs to Downtown Disney until 3am or so.

Hotels/B&B's
in the area:
|
- Fullerton
Hostel is five minutes away and cheap ($18).
-
The
closest hotels are (obviously) the Disney ones, don't book online
unless you plan to go to Disneyland, all you can book are "vacations"
for 2 or more nights and they charge you for Disneyland tickets as
part of your stay. Try calling (714) 520-5060 for bookings without
the tickets if you really want to stay there.

Disney hotel info at: click
here to go to website
Most
every major hotel chain has a hotel in the area as well, check any
travel/map website for more hotels.
|
Pubs
in the area:
|
- None
that are any good
- House
of Blues is probably the best in the area as Downtown Disney is
full of chain and themed resteraunts. Bring lots of $$$, drinks and
food are a bit expensive.

Travel
tips and other information:
|
- See
the Damned in Hollywood if you can. I love the Damned but I hate Disney.
Then again they played a great show last time they came here in March.
- Beware
of the spy cameras and security guards in the area, they are everywhere!
- That
said, unlike Mr Nobody, I actually like Disney...
If you are a Tim Burton/Nightmare Before Chrsitmas fan you may want
to stop in Disneyland before the show. The Haunted Mansion is redone
with
Nightmare Before Christmas for the holidays, and is pretty cool if you
like the whole ride/theme park thing. More info is at www.disneyland.com
or www.mouseplanet.com
