Metro
is located on Clark almost across the street from Wrigley
Field. (Metro is slightly to the north) The closest major cross
street is Addison. There is an Addison exit on I-90/94.
If you head east for a couple of miles on Addison, you'll run into
Wrigley Field. That'll be Clark street. Turn left onto Clark
and you should be able to spot Metro's marquee.
Now
good luck finding parking! Most spots on the street have parking meters
that must be fed until 9:00 PM. I usually surrender $6 to one of the
pay lots in the immediate area just to avoid the bother of driving
around looking for a spot.

Hotels/B&B's
in the area:
|
- If
you want a nice hotel, stay in the downtown area. If you want a cheap
motel that's in an area that's not too sleazy (well, a little bit) there's
some on Lincoln Ave if you travel to the far northern part of
the city. I hear some of them have hookers hanging around from time
to time, but other than that they're okay.
|
Pubs
in the area:
|
- There
are numerous bars around the area of Metro. You'll have your pick of
many, but they'll be full of yuppies and most likely overpriced. Delilah's
is a good punk bar to visit after the show perhaps...it's on Lincoln
just south of Diversey. From Metro, go west on virtually any major east/west
running street and you will hit Lincoln Ave. turn left and follow Lincoln
southeast to Diversey and find parking...the
parking situation is usually much better than the area surrounding Metro.
