The Legend of the Super Saiyan


The legend goes that once every 1000 years a Super Saiyan shall emerge, his power will be unmatched anywhere in the universe therefore becoming the most powerful being known.






Super Saiyan



This is the first stage of the Super Saiyan, at first it was seen that this was the true super saiyan form then Vegita and Goku began talking about ascending to another level. When a saiyan transforms into a Super Saiyan there are radical physical changes such as there hair turning blond as well as there eyebrows, and there eyes turn green. To change into a Super Saiyan it takes a pure heart along with rage and anger, Goku was the first to achieve this level during the fight against Frieza. Goku had given his all against Frieza aswell as the powerful Spirit Bomb, but then Goku saw as he saw Frieza first hit Piccolo into a coma the with the death of his best friend Krillin pushed him over the edge and exploded into a rage of power and transformed into a Super Saiyan. When in this mode all skills like strength, speed and power reach a whole new level.

Those that can go Super Saiyan:

  • Gohan
  • Trunks(future and chibi)
  • Goten
  • Gotenks(Trunks & Goten fused)
  • Brolli




Ultra Super Saiyan



This is not exactly Super Saiyan Two mode it is more of a in between. The physical changes a saiyan goes through is that muscle mass increases a whole lot making the person look five times bigger than his original size(estimate). There is a weakness to this form, even though you gain tremendous strength your speed is crappy and would probably be defeated by most of you opponents. Goku noticed this weakness when he achieved this form in the hyperbolic time chamber. Trunks however did not.

Those who can achieve this:
  • Trunks(againts Perfect Cell)
  • Goku(In the hyperbolic time chamber)
  • Vegita




Super Saiyan Two



The next stage after the Ultimate SSJ, this is first achieved by Gohan during the fight against Perfect Cell. Gohan watch after his little battle with Cell he then stood as Cell beat all his friends and with the death of Android 16 pushed him over the edge and Gohan just snapped and transformed. When in Super Saiyan Two mode your hair grows longer and your power and speed increase dramatically, they increase in perfect sync with each other.

  • Gohan(againts Perfect Cell)
  • Goku
  • Vegita
  • Brolli




Super Saiyan Three



This form is different to a SuperSaiyn2 in the fact that anger and rage do not trigger its transformation only through trainning can it be achieved. Goku achieved this level of power while trainning in the afterlife. The physical changes are that the hairgrows real long and the eyebrows disappear and still green eyes. This form brings with it yet more power and speed its only weakness is that it uses up a whole lot of energy and therefore a Saiyan can only stay in this form for a short perion of time.

Those who can achieve this:
  • Goku
  • Gotenks







Super Saiyan Four



This is seen in Dragonball GT, this is the ultimate level of the Super Saiyans. To achieve this level immense anger, rage as well as sorrow are needed. The physical changes include the hair turning black(with coming over the shoulder and a red ape-like hair all over the chest, the tail grows back aswell.

  • Goku
  • Vegita(with the help of a device Bulma created)
