Been a long time out of communication. I like the website you're setting up.

The "story of my winter" is that I have been completely unable to find a job. As said the Irish guy whose ..... were attached to his steering wheel, "It's drivin' me nuts!" As you know, I've been looking to move to Seattle. But I don't want to move until I have a job. It's been tough going.

Anyway, RED STRIPE and I are organizing a party for Friday, March 3.  I was hoping that you could mail this letter out to the people on your list (please!). We are trying to get all the hikers from the Northeast aware of this shindigg. We would get much more exposure if you could mail this puppy out.

1ST ANNUAL AT HIKER'S "TO-HELL-WITH-SPRINGER-FEVER" LEAP DAY FESTIVAL!!!

     TIME: Show up at 6pm or as late as you want
LOCATION: Red Stripe's new house! 12 Peters St. #3, Boston, MA

This is the last chance for a reunion before people head for the AT and PCT trailheads. Hikers from all over the Northeastern US will be here, so don't miss it! People of all ages and creeds are welcome.   Even non-99ers. Even white-blazers.

Refreshments will be served! --BYOB--

OVERNIGHT: If you would like to stay overnight, BYOBAP!
                        (Bring-your-own-bag-and-pad, duh.)

DIRECTIONS BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Take the Red Line T to Broadway  Station. Take bus #10 outbound. Ask the driver to drop you off at East Broadway and M St. Red Stripe is 3 blocks away. Take M St. toward the waterfront. Left onto 6th St.  Second right onto Peters St. House will be on the left.

DIRECTIONS BY CAH: Take the Mass Pike (I-90E) all the way into Boston. Follow the sign that says "Downtown - South Station." Don't be fazed by all the construction! Right onto Summer St. at the 4th traffic light. When you see the Ted Williams Tunnel sign, go right onto D St. and then left back onto Summer St. Summer St. turns into L St. Left onto 6th St. Second Right onto Peters St. House will be on the left.
