Personality

Eriol appears in the second season as a transfer student from England. As the episodes roll on, the viewers start getting peeks at who he really is and the things that he really does. Finally, there's a point where we know for sure that he's purposely causing obstacles to appear in Sakura's way.

To mention the relationship, he constantly smiles and talks quietly with Sakura. When Syaoran sees this, he gets extremely jealous. But we learn later that he deliberately wanted to do this. His true feelings though, are debated. There is the constant Eriol and Tomoyo pairing, but there is also the pairing of Eriol and Kaho, Sakura's math teacher and helper in her trials with the Clow Cards.

In the end, Eriol confesses to being the reincarnation of Clow Reed. He came to Tomoeda to test Sakura and make sure that she was the rightful Cardcaptor. >she IS ;)<
