Kero is the Guardian Beast of the Clow Seal that fell asleep for 30 years. ('''''-.-''''') When he woke up, he discovered(with surprise), that Sakura had released all but one Clow Card. With that, he makes her the Cardcaptor who will recapture and seal the lost cards. Though his real name is indeed,Cerberus, Kero-chan is the name that Tomoyo and Sakura thought up. Why? Well, in Japan, "kero" is the sound a frog makes!(and anyways, it sounds kawaii!)

Kero is known to be quite a pig - stuffing his face with cake or pudding, but overall, he's quite a nice ... beast? When the situation gets serious, he worries about Sakura when danger approaches. Not to mention, he's saved her life quite a few times with either knowledge or his true form. When Sakura captures the Firey and Earthy card, he can transform into Cerberus.
