Stallworth traded to the Eagles

This move improves the Eagles WR Corp, but still does not give them a solid #1, unless you already believe that Reggie Brown fits that role.  This gives QB McNabb another option when he drops back.  Hank Baskett, the undrafted rookie WR will probably slide into the #3 hole.  It appears to me, that by the Eagles making this trade, WR Todd Pinkston is not fully recovered yet, and wont be anytime soon.  Or, WR Jabar Gaffney, who they acquired in the offseason, has been a disappointment.  Or, it could very well be both possibilities.  Brown and Stallworth, and maybe Baskett, are the only Eagle WR’s worth drafting at this point.

Palmer looks great

Ok, he did play against a horrible Green Bay defense, but boy, if you were watching and you did not have your draft yet, Palmer just moved up a couple rounds in your draft.  He looked great, as did WR Houshmandzadeh.  I would still side with caution when drafting Palmer, but it’s hard not to be impressed by his performance.  It’s a step in the right direction.  Originally I would have targeted Palmer in the 4th – 5th round, but now, he can moves up to the 3rd round of fantasy drafts.

Torn ACL for Greg Jones

Bad luck for the Jaguars RB.  He was the #2 behind “Fragile” Fred Taylor.  Although Taylor was looking great in camp this year, grabbing his backup is always a good strategy.  Now questions arise from, who will be the #2, and who will get the goal line carries.  First, they are high on rookie RB Maurice Drew, so expect him to get more opportunity.  As for the goal line, my feeling is Taylor will either remain in the game in short yardage situations or they will place the rock into the hands of RB LaBrandon Toefield.  They will probably try both possibilities and see which one reaps the best reward.
