Virtual Directory Concept |
. All drirectories created by ORION view are virtual in the sense that the have no existense on the on the hardisk as normal directory inodes have on traditional File system. A virtual directory can be created on the fly under an OFSview and it is volatile in the sense that it will vanish after the view is unmounted. This reflects the fact that the virtual directory is just created in the RAM. If you want the Vitrual directory to persists after unmounts then you can create a DOV file which does the work of remembering the directories upon subsequent mounts. |
