About us:

We are an emo-metal band situated in the Watford area. Our music combines influences from the music we listen to, with our own ideas emoted from experiences we've had. Our aim is to have fun and play live. Our main songwriter is Matthew; an exceptional musician. He plays guitar and does backing vocals in the band but outside of the band he plays the drums, euphonium, trombone, piano and tuned percussion to a high level. His musical ability has allowed him to play nearly every venue in london, including the Royal Albert Hall, Millenium Dome, The Barbican etc... So we are very lucky to have him in our band.

The other members of the band are Alison (bass guitar/backing vocals), Ben (drums), Neil (vocals) and Rob (guitar), all together forming FarFromWords. We all know each other really well so it makes it a lot easier to get songs done and polished off.

Alison is currently in her gap year, as well as playing bass guitar and singing for FarFromWords she sings and plays bass guitar in Husk. You can check these rockers out at www.husk.org.uk . They have been around for a long time and have established themselves as one of the most widely known rock bands in Watford and Hemel Hempstead.

Ben is undergoing the trauma of lower sixth form life at the moment and trying to further his acting career. He had a major part in Harry Potter a while back and is now very rich. In FarFromWords he plays the drums. He has a very hardcore style which keeps the songs up-beat and interesting. Every now and again he'll do a fill which will make you go 'wow', most of the time hes a cool person to be around and the girls love him.

Rob's currently in the upper sixth, his musical history stems back to the days of Synapse, a watford Rap-core band with a very daring and dangerous singer. His chunky guitar sound, Viper ESP guitar and fast picking add a bit of death and roots metal to the band. He also writes his guitar parts with Matthew and a section on this web site called 'our scene'. Rob is a best friend to Matthew and I.

Well I don't know what I can really say about myself, I'm currently in the upper sixth (by the skin of my teeth) I sing in the band and write the lyrics and my parts. I used to do the same thing in Fixt also. Other than that I do street and downhill on "me old bike" and make this and other web sites.
