dino mcg Math was most definitely discovered. Approximately 2314 BC, a man named Alluthius was digging out behind his cave when his bone shovel hit something hard. After he uncovered it completely, he discovered that it was a chunk of math. Thus was the first discovery of math. It was actually a linear algebra and a differential equation. (It is still a mystery how that differential equation got mixed up in there with the linear algebra). Calculus was discovered thousands of years later. We're still not sure where it came from exactly. All we know is that a man named Thistlelatooloo was walking his pet wooly mammoth when a chunk of calculus simply fell out of the sky and bopped him on the noggin. And you know what they say...big head = large noggin. (It is suspected that a bird may have been carrying the calculus in order to build a nest with and simply dropped it during its flight.) Thus, calculus was discovered. Simple addition was soon found in the belly of a recently deceased squirrel and the other three basic operations (subtraction, multiplication, and division) were all found building a treehouse in the Alps. Other disciplines of math have just been popping up in random places around the world. |
