WEEKEND SHOTOKAN COURSE AT HAFAN Y MOR, PWLLHELI, GWYNEDD, NORTH WALES.

22nd – 24th APRIL 2005.

Training Times.

There will be three training sessions on Saturday,

9am - 10am (Beach session).

11am - 1pm.

2:30pm – 4:30pm.

There will be three sessions on Sunday,

9:00am – 10:30pm.

11:30am - 1:00pm.

1pm - onwards (Dan gradings).

All students must remain in Karate Gi and watch the full Dan gradings.

The instructors for the course and the Dan grading panel will be,

Wayne Butler, 3rd Dan, Lisa Humphries, 3rd Dan, Steve Humphries, 4th Dan

and Ian Rogers, 3rd Dan.

Convenience store including bakery and off licence, Hire shop, laundrette, gift shop.

Caesars entertainment centre, Broadwalk music and games bar, the Lakeside Inn. – Bars include live entertainment.

Chalets.

The chaletss are 6 or 8 berths with one double room and one or two twin rooms either style has a double fold out or bed in the living area. All chalets include a kitchen with fridge/freezer and cooker, a colour television, free gas and electricity, shower and toilet, gas fire, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, duvets pillows and sheets, hot and cold running water.

 

 

 

What you need.

Karate licence,

1 or 2 Karate Gi,

Tracksuit for beach session,

Old trainers for beach session,

Trunks or swimming costume for pool if necessary.

Basic food items e.g. Bread, milk, cereals etc.

Towels, t-towels, washing up liquid and toilet roll,

Duvet covers, pillow cases, bed sheets,

Sleeping bag for if the weather turns cold.

 

Course Fees.

The course fees are as follows,

Training on the course - £40.

Spectating the course - £35.

Children under the age of three may go free providing they do not count as a number in the chalets.

Dan Gradings. (Prices include a framed certificate for all Dan grades and a new black belt for 1st Dan).

1st Dan (cadet and senior) - £20.

Cadet 2nd Dan - £25.

2nd Dan - £30.

Cadet 3rd Dan - £35.

3rd Dan - £40.

Reassessment of a cadet Dan grade to senior 1st Dan at age 16 – FREE.

Fees include the cost of one place in a chalet, renting the dojo and the instructors teaching. You may stay over on Sunday night for no extra charge as long as you leave the chalet by 10am Monday morning.

Please note Full fees must be paid by Friday 25th February 2005 and

NO DISCOUNTS can be given for making your own accommodation arrangements or if you miss any training sessions. You will not be allowed to train or spectate on any session unless the full training / spectating fee has been paid. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

 

 

 

 

Deposits / Payments.

Deposits may be paid at any time before Friday 25th February 2005, a minimum of £5. deposit per person is required to reserve a place in a chalet. This deposit is refundable up to Friday 25th February 2005. No refunds can be given after making your second payment. No refunds can be given after Friday 25th February 2005. All fees must be paid in full by this date. Please state full names, Adult (over 18) / Junior and age of junior, and whether training or spectating.

Travel from Newport.

M%$ to Telford, A5 past Oswestry and Llangollen. Take A494 to Bala. In Bala turn right to Porthmadog, turn left at roundabout in Porthmadog, signpost Criccieth and Pwllheli. Hafan Y Mor Park is 3 miles out of Criccieth on the left.

On arrival, contact Wayne Butler (07890349451) or Ian Rogers (07734659836) or report to reception and ask for Wayne Butler’s chalet number.

Please Note.

All students must have an up to date AMA karate licence.

All sessions must be completed in order to have your licence stamped. If you are late for any of the sessions and you miss your mark in the register this will not count as a completed session and your license will not be stamped.

Students attempting Dan gradings will not be allowed to do so if you forget to bring your licence to the course,

A responsible adult must accompany all children under the age of 18.

Any bad behaviour in public (i.e. bad language, causing damage to site property), will result in a ban from the next course and the current course will not be stamped in your licence.

Any visitors making their own arrangements must pay the full fees if they wish to watch any of the sessions (See bottom of page three for more details).
