Twass, AKA Triple Flick

Back in late '97 or early 98', myself and and a friend who shall go nameless, but you can call him the King of Sting, were sitting around, listening to the Rocky IV soundtrack, and suddenly, we both realized that in his room, we had two guitars and a tape recorder.  We sat down and recorded what would be the first song ever recorded by what would come to be known as Twass, and then later on Triple Flick.  That song was Eye of the Tiger.

At that time, we sucked.  We really sucked.  When we recorded Eye of the Tiger, KOS played lead guitar and I, the current lead guitarist, didn't even know how to play, so I was the rhythm guitar and the bass player, and sang backup vocals, KOS sang lead.

We knew that, while the recording sucked ass, it could be great.  We saw the vision, the vision of Twass.  We vowed to learn how to play our instruments, and over the next several months, I learned how to play guitar, and KOS learned how to sing.  I even got an electric, a 1964 Fender Musicmaster and a Peavey 150 Watt amp.

We hooked up again to record various cover songs, but we had no success.  Without a drummer, and just the two of us on guitar, and our still-pathetic musical abilities, we did poor, crappy renditions of of Enter Sandman, You Shook Me All Night Long, Back In Black, Bohemian Rhapsody and Stairway to Heaven.  Then it occured to us.  We should write and record our OWN songs!

That night became was the conception of perhaps the greatest Twass song ever written, Fade Out.   We have recently recorded a "rough draft", so to speak, of Fade Out.  If you would like to hear it, just click
HERE.

We have written other songs, and I have done my own independant work, but I find singing to be a difficult task (especially when playing a guitar as well) and in my opinion, I do not do it nearly as well as KOS.  For the moment, Fade Out is our only claim to fame.

You are probably asking "What does Twass mean?"  Contrary to popular belief, it is not associated with the word "Twat" at all.  Rather, Twass is an acronym for "That's What She Said".  Don't even ask me where the A comes from, if you can't figure it out for yourself, you are a retard.  "Twass", or "That's what she said" is said when someone makes a comment like "It's so hard" that could be interpreted sexually by a perverted mind.

About a year ago, however, after telling people our name was Twass, people just kept getting confused by it.  Frustrated by the ignorance of people that weren't even our fans, we decided to change the name to Triple Flick, which is a formation of your hands that makes it appear as though you have three middle fingers, great for flicking someone off.

That name seemed to work much better.  People liked it because it was sort of catchy, and they laughed and even appreciated the lesson on where it came from.

To this day, we have not fully decided on a name.  Triple Flick is a great name, in my opinion, but KOS still is partial to our roots, to the original Twass.
