| Hi ! I am Md.Farouk Alam. I am a government servant under Government of Assam in the Senior Grade II of the Assam Civil Service Cadre.I joined this prestigious service in the year 1992. I have since served in the districts of Morigaon,Karimganj and Tinsukia.In Morigaon district I have served as C.O.(A) & EAC,Bhuragaon Revenue Circle;Election Officer,Morigaon and EAC,Morigaon.In Karimganj district I have served as Assistant Settlement Officer,Karimganj Revenue Circle.In Tinsukia district I served as E.A.C.(Ch X) , Tinsukia.At present I am serving as Under Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Cultural Affairs Department , Assam Secretariat (Civil) , Dispur , Guwahati. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Prior to joining the Assam Civil Service cadre I was doing PhD in Entomology.MY topic of research was 'Biology & Ecology of Leptocorisa sps. in the rice fields of Tinsukia & Dibrugarh districts'.I had collected many insects and arachnids found in the rice fields of these two districts and sent them to British Museum , London , for identification purpose.The photographs of these insects and arachnids with their details will be uploaded later on.
