Far West Vol. 2 #1 Far West Vol. 2 #2 Far West Vol. 2 #1-2

Mature action/comedy.

The return of bounty hunters Ra'Meghan Val'Norium and her furry partner Phil, the bear with the Winchester and the dry wit.

This time out sexy elf Ra'Meghan (she seems to prefer Meg) and Phil have run afoul of the imposing Hole in the Head ogre gang and their adolescent leader, the Moonshine Kid. That's a problem but not half as bad as having no ammuntion! So Meg has a choice between joining the gang which includes a very physical joining with the Moonshine Kid, or joining the dearly departed on Boot Hill.

Note must be made of the evolution of Richard Moore's art on this mini series. Everything seems to be done with varying degrees of pencil shading and the exclusion of the inking process. The result is a lovely life-like quality to the page and even more subtle facial expressions and body language. Few artists working in comics these days can allow their characters to "act" without the use of dialogue. Not only do the characters appear more real, their whole world springs to life with vivid detail.

Also as with the first series Moore expands the more mature themes which for some reason remain almost forbidden in the modern comic form, from the use of four letter words to mild nudity. Not only is this missing from the majority of comic books, the methods of working around them make their absence more grating than their presence would. It's high time someone made a book which was relaxed in it's use of language and sexuality.
