Hi, Juan, thanks for your letter.
Nice to write to you. I have seen your page and other related pages and I have some conclusions up to now.
I have been the only one from Colombia who has this similarity with pantyhose; this is that I do like to feel my legs in nylon-lycra pantyhose (in fact I bought a pair of pantyhose last night), and the sensation of shaved leggs.
This is due to the fact that in Colombia people has vanguard ideas (if so can be called). We are still in timespace where someone does something and everyone in the social circle knows it and gives a big discussion with a subjective point of view. (and many with destructive-like ideas)
I would say that you MUST NOT BE THE ONLY ONE in your country. Many of us first thought that we are the only exception in the world, but later on we found out that it is easy to find a pantyhose-men. I fully understand what you feel. I have also gone through your stage and has been afraid that my fashion choice would be discovered and I would loss social security. Chinese society is also a conservative society that many people would find as many ways as possible to hide their secrets, no matter the secrets are in fact private, legal and normal.
Now my mind is more open. Thinking intensively and seriously, I know I am right and I no longer need to hide myself to the public. Instead, I stand up and fight for the rights. Women are so successful to change their status because some of them dare come out and speak. I see no point why we men can't do the same, and in fact I totally support the equality of both genders.
Going out of the sensations and the fact that many men wear pantyhose around the world, I am like inside a bottle, because of these facts; nevertheless, when I am alone in my house I like to wear pantyhose and why not, I like to use miniskirt (with feminine underwear -thongs- and blouses; this is to be a man but wearing fashion and colorful dresses. Question - Is this Wrong? What would you think about being heterosexual and having a girlfriend but being stuck inside the "Social Chiché"?
Mr. Lewis, It is really interesting to know the facts, I have seen on these pages and the related ones how people laugh against the use of the above mentioned, why meny people agree either man or woman, and why many woman criticize this role Why? Are we doing any harm to someone? Is it dangerous?, or it is prohibited by society (apparently by ours it is)? Nevertheless, I do like to wear them (thongs, mini-skirts, hi shoes, pantyhoses, lycrated overalls etc).
Further on, I have a question. have you seen a woman wearing trousers, t-shirts, neckties, or something supposed to be exclusive of men?
The only solution for us is stand up and shout NOW! Women can do that, why can't we men?
To be a pioneer is always harsh, but how can the world change better if everyone just lives in their protected circle?
Many years ago it is hard to imagine a 'sportive' or 'executive' look women. With their effort in years, women are now successful to a certain extend. I think we men also need to start quickly.
Evenmore: I was first astonished when I saw your page (as the first page seen) really astonished becuase I didn't expect to find this human behavior. I am not a socialist, or an antropologist -in fact, I am a graphic designer, my name is not Alan Brando and once again, I am a male heterosexual colombian, 26 years old middled class fella-; but the theme really interests me because if this freedom was to be able, I would be the one to take out all my curiosities out of my closet in order to wear them. Unfortunately, I suppose my grandsons are the ones who if they do agree with the social roles of their times, are going to get full advantage of it.
Juan
If we don't do nothing, don't expect the world will change for us.
The world change very fast. Long hair men, earring men, suits with flower pattern etc. are not exceptional now. Surely if all of us do something and let the trend changes faster, we will be able to enjoy in a few years!
I will be extremely sad if only my grandsons can enjoy their lives!
(Note - I am not trying to identify roles of women and men separately. Both women and men are HUMAN. What women dare to do, men should be able to do. Likewise, what men are allowed, women should be able to go ahead.)
