Why Do House Blessings?

There are many reasons.

. A house blessing is a way to consecrate a new home and start out on the right foot,
. A house blessing is a way to cleanse a house of impure energies(think of it as another kind of "housecleaning"),
. A house blessing is a way to gain ownership of a house that has been occupied by others,
. A house blessing is a way to make a space sacred and turn it into your very own place.

How do you do a House Blessing?

A house blessing can be as simple as someone reciting a short prayer or it can be a ceremony as intricate as a well-orchestrated wedding,taking several hours to complete. I use prayer, smoke, sound, ritual, and various ceremonial techniques for cleansing the atmosphere in and around a site. My clients are an important part of the ceremony. I consult with them before and after it is completed. As a student of world religions I integrate various techniques that harmonize with individuals and their backgrounds and needs.

Earth Acupuncture

Earth acupuncture is another service I offer. It is based on "geobiology" (human behavior and health in relation to the precise spot where a person lives). All locations are endowed with an energy, force, or strength. Not all of these are beneficial. Earth acupuncture can help harmonize a location.

Who Am I?

My name is Jeanne Visvader. I have been doing house blessings for over twelve years. I feel privileged to do this work because the home is so important and it reflects the people within. It is very rewarding for me to help people regain a feeling of comfort and safety in their home through a ceremony. In a sense they regain ownership of their home on a spiritual level.
