Comments:
I love gloves for their sense of mystery. You never
know what a lady in gloves is going to do, but you know that she is powerful
and in control of any situation. A great example of what I am speaking
of are our favorite television detective shows. At the beginning of the
program, as the storyline is set up, this openly horrid person (already
established during the first 3 minutes) greets someone they know. You see
only the waist of this second person, and of course the cretin didn't greet
this person by name. Suddenly a black gloved hand slips from beneath the
unseen person's trenchcoat. The slightly loosely-gloved hand pulls out
a silencenced pistol and *pfft*, *pfft*. The original person (who you know
had it coming, was cheating on his wife or something) is hit once in the
forehead, then twice in the chest. The perpetrator in the gloves escapes
leaving no fingerprints. During the course of the program, our favorite
detective begins discovering that it is the really beautiful and elegant
lady character who is the culprit. At the end (at least in American detective
shows) she is arrested, but you find yourself wishing that she had gotten
away with it, don't you?
