Golden Gate Gene Club

"A Little Bit of R and R"

Club meeting July 1999

This is our display consisting of 1940's/Military/ USO theme. The second picture is Kristans' "Stand Up and Cheer".

The first doll is a gorgeous green gown by Charolette. The second is a Diana dress modeled by Destiny. The next picture is Charolettes award winning doll from the recent "Fashion Doll Convention".

Here are 3 more beauties. I think the pink one is also Charlottes. The next two belong to Jackie and Mandy. The Halter style is by Jonell Belke.

These are Franklin Lim Liao creations. If you look closely to the first picture you can see the hat has a San Francisco Skyline just like in Beach Blanket Babylon.

These drop dead gorgeous ensembles were made by Vernies' aunt. These were fabulous and the good news is she is making them to sell.

This is Nickys' doll. It is a Red Venus wearing a Linda Schuck bathing suit. Check out the great gene sized finds at her feet. They are a Scrabble and Ouija boards, theres also a Gene sized book of gems.

The first doll here is a GeneEstelle made by Kym. Check out the gene sized tea pots that are actually little boxes. The second doll belongs to Estelle, a beautiful ensemble with sparkling jewelry and the scarf from "Blue Evening".

"Anne-Maries" "Cigarette Girl" made an appearance. Also the outfit made for the "Fashion Doll Convention" by "Doris Mixon" was modeled by a redone Iced Coffee.

This is the outfit we made for our Golden Gate members. Debbie made all of the hats, and the bracelets. Kristan made the darling gene scaled corsages, and the earrings too. The Dress was made by Patrice and myself. I made the little purses. Patrice made all of the gloves. Patrice and Debbie made tiny little boxes for the flowers from "The Sherwood Florist". Kristan even tied them all off with bows. She also spent most of saturday night into the wee hours making 1940's Gene sized posters. Whew, what alot of work! Chris Quick, our graphic artist expert did the wonderful hatstands and much of the graphic work. Oh yes, Gene bud Darin wrote the mad libs for us. All these thing were made by committee members:Christine Quick Kristan Molchin, Darin Rieck, Rebecca Satterberg, Debbie Silva, and Patrice Wagner.
