Gone in 60 Seconds stars Giovanni Ribisi as Kip Raines, a cocky young car thief working with a crew to steal 50 cars in record time for his bad-ass boss who is ominously nick-named "The Carpenter." Kip messes up the mission, so it's up to his big brother, Randall "Memphis" Raines (Nicolas Cage), to come out of car thief retirement and save his tail.

Gone in 60 Seconds is not so much about the stars as much as it is the cars. Fast cars - rare cars - wrecked cars. In a word... CARS.

Now about those stars - Nicolas Cage, the awesome Angelina Jolie (as Sway), Robert Duvall, Delroy Lindo, , and Ribisi Giovanni - One could easily say this story is a waste of all that top-notch talent - it is - but complex charac-terization, story and plot are not the point of this film. All that stuff would only get in the way of the action scenes and slow this movie down.

One major dissapointment about this film - The delicious Miss Jolie was not the huge name then as she is now. Her appearances on screen are sparse and somewhat underplayed.
