Hello everyone...
This is my little niche on the web.
Hey Larry, like the new page?
I like to collect things but I discovered I couldn't collect everything that I wanted to because I don't have enough money or room. So I decided to collect old transistor radios after I bought a neat looking one at a garage sale for ten cents. It turns out that that's about all it is worth. Anyway, I thought, who would collect transistor radios? I could get them cheap and someday they may actually be worth something. Wow, was I wrong. They are very much collected. Thanks to eBay and other collector's web sites, I learned which ones were the valuable ones. I have managed to aquire a few of them and they are here for you to take a look at. I hope you enjoy them.
I go on weekend antiquing trips twice a year with my wife and another couple. I look for transistor radios and Scott looks for cribbage boards. He finds a lot more cribbage boards than I find radios. So after a few years of looking in antique stores and rarely finding anything, I decided to collect something else in addition to the radios. I chose toy outboard boat motors. I saw some once at a fishing expo and thought they looked pretty neat. I also discovered two things; they are expensive and are hard to find. Oh well. I have four so far in my collection. Take a look.
I like to play pool. I started when I was maybe eight years old. I'm in my upper forties now. A friend of mine gave me his pool table. It's a Brunswick, and the best I can tell, a Newport model. I was told they were made from 1906 to 1911 so if I have my facts right, my table is almost a century old. There's a picture of it as well as my favorite pool links.
Now a little about my Car Stuff section. Until recently, I owned a 1970 Nova. It was originally a six cylinder. I swapped that out for a 350 small block. Then, I started building a 454. Unfortunately, my back got really bad. I am not able to work on cars like I used to. I sold the car and hopefully I can buy a car that is completely fixed up. I still have a link to some auto formulas I put together as well as a link to my nova forum.
