Majik wins gold

I'm sure that all SCW fans will be happy to know that NWA Hammerlock's Majik won the inaugural NWA UK Jnr Heavyweight Title recently.

Lion Rampant:- The Report

A crowd of 150+ were in Linwood Sports Centre for Lion Rampant:-

1st match:-

This match was a developmental three way elminination match featuring Stephen Reeves, Aidan Corrigan and James Palmer. The winner in this match was James, with Aidan being eliminated first. The finish came after around 8 minutes.

2nd match:-

This was a streetfight between Steve "Justice" Walker and Iceman. Iceman worked as a face and hit a Foley Elbow, destroyed a ringside bin and had a fine legdrop from around 10 feet up on the seating. Both wrestlers made this an early contender for hardcore match of the year in the UK and Iceman took the win.

3rd Match:-

With Carl Conroy pulling out, we move Eric "The Fist" Canyon up into his place to face off against Andy "The Pigman" Hogg. Another fine match, Andy worked as an excellent heel along with his manager, Adam South. This was Eric's first pro match, he's a trainee from NWA-UK Hammerlock, and he put on a fine show before losing to Andy after a paused count by Referee Allan Grogan.

4th Match:-

Conscience vs Drew Galloway

This match started as Conscience being a heel and ended with both men playing the face role. Drew was, like Eric, making his professional debut and again looked very good. Conscience took the victory with a Guilt Trip (Razor's Edge).

5th Match:-

Marco Di Fiore vs Scott "The Great Scot" McKenzie

Scott has recently been training with CW Anderson and this match was, probably, the match of the evening. Scott's bruising style and Marco's cruiserweight style came together brilliantly and had the crowd on the edge of their seats. Marco managed to hit his Fury Splash, but Scott took the victory around the 18 minute mark with a downward spiral front suplex.

6th Match:-

Majik vs Omega

Omega wasn't the intended opponent, but was brought in and put on a superb display for someone who was only there to watch the show. Majik is one of the top Cruiserweights with NWA-UK Hammerlock and that experience, along with the fine showing by Omega, made this match another excellent display of wrestling. The end came with Majik getting the pin after around 17 minutes.

7th Match:-

Rumble to crown the King of Scotland:-

The build up to the show saw a number of workers dropping from the card and, as a result, this Rumble was booked. Iceman took an absolutely sickening bump from the ring apron as he flew backwards and landed with his head cracking off of the arena floor. The winner of this Rumble was Conscience and Scotland had their first wrestling King of Scotland.

Overall, it was a superb card and an impressive debut outing for Scottish Championship Wrestling. A good display from the young Scottish wrestlers, plus a group of honest and talented English based wrestlers made this show one the fans will, hopefully, be talking about for a long time.

No set date on when SCW will have it's new show, but wresting is definitely back on the map in Scotland.

Interview now online.

Yesterday, wrestle-zone.co.uk and myself took time to do an interview for their site. This interview covers a whole series of topics and is an interesting read for any wrestling fan. You can access the interview by clicking here.
