T ext: Malachi 3:14

Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts?

Matthew 6:16 (KJV) Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Matthew 11:30 (KJV) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

BACKGROUND:

Malachi the minor prophet was a mystery to Israel, apart from the meaning of his name, nothing is known of him. His book was written 5Th century B.C. His ministry and burden as a prophet was no small task. He was sent to pick up a discourage people, a people who were finding faults of God. In chap 1 and verse one the Lord say he love Israel, but Israel question that love. Israel was having difficulties serving the lord, difficulties base on a bad starting out.

INTRODUCTION:

During World War Two a pilot was shot down over enemy territory, he starved to death, Months later another pilot was shot down over the same jungle, and he survived. He hid out by day and travel by night and he ate well. What was the secret to this man survival? He had done survival training. He learned how to make a fire without matches. He learned how to collect water from leafs and rocks.

Living the Christians life can be as easy as taking a candy from a baby, and it can be as hard as fighting a crocodile. The Christians life is easier than being a sinner. The whole thing depend on how a person started out, and whom they started out with. Our lord says that his yoke is easy, and his burden is light. So if a believer is carry heavy load it is not of Christ.

Matthew 11:30 a [For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light] Seven things the believer receives: 1. Acquaintance with Christ and eternal life (Matthew 11:28; John 17:2-3) 2. Relief from fatigue (Matthew 11:28) 3. Relief from heavy burdens (Matthew 11:28) 4. Soul rest forever (Matthew 11:28-29; Hebrews 4) 5. Truth, wisdom, knowledge—learn of Me (Matthew 11:29; John 14:6; 1 Cor. 1:30) 6. An easy yoke or obligation (Matthew 11:29-30; cp. Acts 15:10; Galatians 5:1) 7. A light burden (Matthew 11:30; Psalm 55:22)

BODY:

SURVIVING THE IN DIFFERENCES OF OTHER CHRISTIANS.

Unknown to the outside world, that within the Christian churches, where every thing seem find and dandy. There is a battle raged un. There is an unseen world of hostility, leveled against the church and what the church leveled against itself. Petty grudges prospered among men and women of God. People do not like each other because one is a better speaker, or one is more anointed that the others. Things that should not matter. People will dislike you simple because you are zealous and full of good works. They see this that you are trying to tell them something. In addition, do you mean that it is only you save?

Christians suffers stagnating because they could not overcome the indifference of other Christians. The church crowd is not all loving and good as how it sound. Marriages are sometime broken up in church, people are killed in Churches. People can assassinate your characters in church. You will have to be able to out stand and out live the half sheep half goats in the churches. You will need to developed tuft skin. Any time you begin to grow in grace as our lord commands you, you begin to get false Christians foot in your face.)

( 2 Peter 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

MINDSET INDOCTRINATIONS.

One of the first reasons why new Christians find it hard to live the new life is mind set indoctrinations that we received long before we even know about God.

mind·set or mind-set (mºnd“sµt”) n. 1. A fixed mental attitude or disposition that predetermines a person's responses to and interpretations of situations. 2. An inclination or a habit.

Some of the things that we worry about as sin is not sin. But we do not know because we do not look up the meaning of the words , and what it really mean when it was used in the days of the apostle. In addition, see that the meaning change in our time to mean something else. For example, a wizard.

wiz·ard (w¹z“…rd) n. 1. One who practices magic; a sorcerer or magician.

Leviticus 20:27 (KJV) A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

IN OUR TIME A WIZARD IS A SKILLED AND CLEVER PERSON.

2. A skilled or clever person: a wizard at math. 3. Archaic. A sage. --wiz·ard adj. 1. Excellent.]

Preconceive ideas; about how the Christians life is to be lived was installed in our mind from we were young. Some of the verses we quotes is not in the Bible, some of the doctrines that we were taught were made up by priests and preachers who were working for the slave masters of the time, to control the mass of slaves.

1 Tim. 4:13 (KJV) Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

1 Tim. 4:15 (KJV) Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

1 Tim. 4:16 (KJV) Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

GETTING REVELATIONS:

If you do not read you will not get any new revelations. A Christians who refuses to invest the time in reading will never be an over comer. You have to read with open mind, not just read what they laid out for you to read. However, look up the meaning of words.

Daniel 9:2 (KJV) In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

Nine Commands to Timothy

1. Give attendance to reading

2. Give attendance to exhortation (1 Tim. 4:13).

3. Give attendance to doctrine (1 Tim. 4:13).

4. Neglect not your spiritual gift (1 Tim. 4:14).

5. Meditate upon these things (1 Tim. 4:15).

6. Give self wholly to them (1 Tim. 4:15).

7. Take heed to yourself (1 Tim. 4:16).

8. Take heed to your doctrine (1 Tim. 4:16).

9. Continue in your doctrine (1 Tim. 4:16).

SOME OF GOD’S PEOPLE HAVE WICKED WAYS.

Ezekiel 20:44 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings,--)

(Jeremiah 5:26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. )

( If you are going to live a triumphant Christian’s life, you had to be aware of covetousness and spiritual wickedness among the flock of God’s people.)

( James 4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? )

( James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. )

( 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. )

( You cannot grow in grace among people who are covetous of you. Especially if you are not aware of it. If you are aware of it you could uses them as a reverse barometer. When they say do not run, then you run. When they say you are not doing good you uses that as a compliment, because what they mean is that you are doing great, but do not have the guts to say it.

(1) LAYING THE FOUNDATION FOR AN OBSTICLE FREE WALK.

Hebrews 12:13 (KJV) And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

Every trades men, every teacher, preacher, writers and speakers know the importance of laying a good groundwork. If the introduction is not good, you will loose half the crowd before you finish speaking. We could use another comparison. A solder who did not do well in boot camp might not do well on the battlefield nor came home alive.

A Christians must lay straight path for their feet, before they start walking. Most of the prophet including our Lord end up in the wilderness with God before they start out on their public ministry.

After getting save you must begin to purge yourself from dead works, or they will spring again and bring you down. You must beware of ideas that you got about the Christians life before you were save. These preconceive Ideas do not measure up with the real thing. When we were sinners we talk the talk, but now you got save those same expectations might entrap you.

Hebrews 12:15 (KJV) Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

2 Tim. 2:21 (KJV) If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Proverbs 13:15 (KJV) Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

(2) GETTING TO KNOW THE HOLY SPIRIT.

I am not talking about jumping; falling down, rolling on the floor, cover up under whites sheet kind of holy spirit. And I am not saying that jumping and falling down is bad. But it is you that jump and you that fall down. The holy spirit came to give his people power, to live and serve. He came to show you things to come. He came to guide you out of bad marriage, and to prevent you from making bad decisions, by revealing to you that you are walking into a trap. The church is full of cover up people. Some people when the world is done with them, and they got burnt out in Satan’s motels they came to church, looking for a mate to nurse them.

These learn the right time to shout, and the correct time to jump, then they put on Christians clothing, slim down, false tooth, false hair, and false nose, and come home to papa Jesus. One 24 years old woman, I Know, a church member end up with an ex solder with no sex drive. I tried to encourage her to stay with him. She shouted out” Me want my things sir”

There are things you will need to know about people before getting involved with them, and they will not tell it to you. Some of them were rape by family member as a child. Raped by father, uncle, brother, and cousin. One childhood rape or molestation can make a woman cold in adulthood; it is too painful to tell that to an intended mate. Nevertheless, it is going to ruin you marriage. And give Satan the advantage to use to let you cast off your faith. This is where the Holy Spirit came in, to show you things to come. But you must learn to hear from him and yield to him.

One woman have five children for her husband, and only one of those children is truly the husband's child, all the others is for the husband's cousin, brother, and God know who.

2 Cor. 2:11 (KJV) Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

BAD MARRIAGE IS THE NUMBER ON KILLER OF CHRISTIANS.

Personality clash, sexual incompatibility, conflicting ministerial callings and gifts All these make a lot of trouble in Christian marriages. You see Christians coming through the church doors holding on to each other hands, in some cases sheep a sweat, it is the thick wool hiding it.

One calls to be a missionary and always wants to be on the go, the other one call to be a pastor and do not want to move. One has the gift of help and are very kind, the other one is a miser and a tight wad and do not give away a bone. All these are going to make trouble in the marriage. Falling in love does not mean that this is the correct person for you; you need the Holy Spirit to guide you. “Filled with the holy spirit” Is a terminology, which mean to yield to him. He speak to you and say” Confess, give, forgave, esteemed each other better than yourself” do you obey?

Many Christians do not know when the Holy Spirit is talking to them, they think it is their mind, or they think this is what the other person is thinking.

1 Cor. 2:12 (KJV) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit, which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Zech. 4:6-7 (KJV) Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. [7] Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

John 16:13-14 (KJV) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. [14] He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

1 John 4:4 (KJV) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

(3) GETTING TO KNOW THE SCRIPTURES.

The scriptures help you to know the genuine Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit will explain the scriptures to you. If you do not invest the time and money to get the knowledge of the scriptures. Satan will drive you from church to church.

Ephes. 4:14 (KJV) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

The scriptures is milk for the babies, bread for the eater, and strong meat for the mature saints, and sword for the solder and seeds for the sowed. Matthew 22:29 (KJV) Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

1 Tim. 4:13 (KJV) Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

Buy books and read, you cannot be stingy with your faith and expect to do good. Put aside reading time each day, and praying time. The inner man also needs three meals per day.

Ephes. 3:16 (KJV) That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Twelve Things that Paul Prayed for the Ephesians

1. The spirit of wisdom (Ephes. 1:17)

2. The spirit of revelation (Ephes. 1:17)

3. Full enlightenment of truth (Ephes. 1:18)

4. The hope of His calling (Ephes. 1:18; cp. note, §Ephes. 3:16)

5. The riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints (Ephes. 1:18; Ephes. 1:7)

6. The exceeding greatness of His power to those who believe (Ephes. 1:19; Ephes. 3:19-20)

7. Spiritual power in the inner man (Ephes. 3:16)

8. Indwelling Christ (Ephes. 3:16; §Luke 22:3, note)

9. To be rooted in love (Ephes. 3:17)

10. Spiritual understanding (Ephes. 3:18)

11. To know the love of Christ (Ephes. 3:19)

12. To be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephes. 3:19)

(4) DO NOT DEPEND TOO MUCH ON MAN.

Matthew 23:4 (KJV) For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Col. 2:8 (KJV) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

2 Peter 3:17 (KJV) Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

Jeremiah 4:30 (KJV) And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do?--.

(5) DEALING WITH HARD TO OVERCOME SINS.

The Christians life is like a baby learning to walk, one day the baby just get up and start walking good after falling down for weeks. Some sins you will not know when you drop them off, you just find out that you are not doing them any more. The lord is not in any contest with you. The sin problem is not going to stop any time soon, there is always one left to keep you praying, that is why we need Jesus because we sin and come short. We need his righteousness to make it in.

1 John 1:7-10 (KJV) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. [8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Romans 7:21-23 (KJV) I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. [22] For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: [23] But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

2 Cor. 12:7-9 (KJV) And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. [8] For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. [9] And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

(6) ADD TO YOUR FAITH, IF YOU ADD TO YOUR FAITH YOU CAN NEVER FALL.

2 Peter 1:5-10 (KJV) And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; [6] And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; [7] And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. [8] For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. [9] But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. [10] Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

((7) TO ADD YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE SOMETHING

We cannot add things to our faith until we first remove something. You will have to remove covetous ways. Covetous attitudes cause others to feel like they have done us something wrong. I always buys machinery and give to Christians to start up business on their own, after receiving these gifts, they pretend that its not good, are hide from me. They do not want to credit me for my kindness. Or to let me know how much I scored. Give some Christians a link to my web sites, where they can find materials to help with their questions. The next day they saw me, then they run and hide, or give me a cold shoulder. These lost days I put my money in the bank and just leave certain people alone. Petty covetousness is the work of the hog type of Christians. Good Christians know how to say thanks.

Philip. 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Dace’s Note “ Never oppose each other by acting for personal gain or from vanity. Have a humbling view of yourselves, knowing your own secret faults and true self.”

CONCLUSION:

Therefore. You have to do the first work, you have to get to know the holy Spirit, you have to learn the scriptures, you have to beware of man and do not depend too much on man, you have to give yourself time to learn to overcame sins, knowing that the lord is not in a contest with you, he gave you time, grace is add on your spiritual account, enough to get you through in spite of your defects. Finally, you have to add to your faith, because if you add those spiritual ingredients that are mention in 2 peter 1.5-10 to you faith you can never fall.

SOMETIME ONLY CHRIST CAN HELP US

Matthew 6:33-AV But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Isaiah 55:6-AV Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Isaiah 55:7-AV Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

LOOK AT THE BENEFITS OF BECOMING A CHRISTIAN

How does a person become a Christian, and are sure that he/she is save? First the person must know that he/she is a sinner and need deliverance from the lord.

Romans 3:23 (KJV) for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Galatians 3:22 (KJV) But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

THE SINNER MUST BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A GOD.

Hebrews 11:6 NKJV But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

THE SINNER MUST BELIEVE THAT GOD IS READY TO FORGIVE HIM.

Isaiah 55:7 (KJV)Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

THE SINNER MUST BELIEVE THAT CHRIST DIED FOR HIM.

Romans 5:6 (KJV) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 5:8 (KJV)But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1 Cor. 15:3-8 (KJV) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: [5] And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: [6] After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. [7] After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. [8] And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

The sinner must believe that God can keep him save.

Ephes. 3:20 (KJV) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Jude 1:24 (KJV) Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

PERFECTING THE SAINTS IS A WORK OF GOD.

1 Peter 5:10 (KJV) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

THE SINNER MUST KNOW THAT ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE THEM.

Acts 4:12 (KJV) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

THE SINNER MUST MAKE A DECISION TODAY.

Isaiah 1:18 (KJV) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

2 Cor. 6:2 (KJV) (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

BOW YOUR HEAD AND PRAY THIS PRAYER.

Lord I am a sinner and need your salvation. Forgive all my sins. I accept your son Jesus as my savior today.

We can sing with the song writer" I rise walk in heaven’s own light above the world and sin with heart made pure and garments white, and Christ en-throned with in. The cleansing stream I see I see I plunge, and O It cleans-eth me. O praise the Lord, it cleans-eth me, it cleans-eth me yes, cleans-eth me."

DROP ALL PRE-CONCEIVE IDEAS OF CHRISTIANITY.

Drop all preconceived ideas of Christianity because these conflict with the reality of Christianity. The lord will live the life through you day by day. You do not drop things from your life on your own. The spirit of God will walk you out of sins in his own time.

FIRST HUMBLING YOU.

Ephes. 2:8-9 (KJV)For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.

If you stop sins and get holy before God’s timing you will begin to boast how it is your own magnetism got you so far, then you became a source of discouragement to others. Therefore, you are going to stuck upon a sin or two. The sin always getting the better of you. This will push you to always accept God’s grace, and to see your own frailness.

1 John 1:8 (KJV) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

TO CONTINUE GROWING IN GOD.

1 Peter 2:2 (KJV) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

2 Peter 1:5-10 (NKJV) But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble.

All a baby need to do to grow is to feed. You will have to learn to feed yourself. Many pastors cannot feed the sheep. Continue visiting our website for free materials. Feel free to email us for additional resources.

FINDING OUT YOUR CALLING

When I was newly save, the believers always, ask me if I know the will of God for my life! I never really know what they were talking about. Every person that was saved had a mission and a gift. However, because you are just a babe in Christ you do not know any of these. As you go on with the lord his will for you will unfolds day bay day. Do not run off and make any big commitment. Your mate has to be tailor made for you by God. You are now a citizen of heaven. Heaven does not rule by democracy. You cannot serve God with democratic mind set.

WHAT YOU MUST DROP OFF.

Hebrews 12:1 (Living Bible) Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from the grandstands, let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back, and especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around our feet and trip us up; and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before us.

Ephes. 4:31 (Living Bible) Stop being mean, bad-tempered, and angry. Quarreling, harsh words, and dislike of others should have no place in your lives.

Col. 3:8 (Living Bible) but now is the time to cast off and throw away all these rotten garments of anger, hatred, cursing, and dirty language.

GET A GOOD BIBLE, FIND A GOOD CHURCH.

One of the best Bibles out there is the New King James Version. Dake’s annotated Bible is very good. Next, you need a living bible to make some thing simple.

Hebrews 10:25 (Living Bible) Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.

DROP THE BAD HABITS.

Drop the smoking, even though we cannot prove it to be a sin. You are going to be sitting down beside other church going people; they do not want to be smelling the odor from smoking on you.

PROTECTING YOURSELF FROM BEING SPOILED BY MAN.

Col. 2:8 (KJV)Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Hebrews 13:9 (KJV) Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Seven Ways that People Can Spoil Christians:

1. Through philosophy (Col. 2:8)

2. Through vain deceit (Col. 2:4,8,18-19)

3. Through human traditions (Col. 2:8)

4. Through human religion and world principles contrary to the gospel (Col. 2:8,14-23; note, §Galatians 4:3)

5. Through circumcision (Col. 2:11-13; Acts 15:1; Romans 4:9-16; Galatians 5:1-11)

6. Through the law of Moses, demanding observance of the laws on meats, drinks, holy days, new moons, feasts, and sabbaths (Col. 2:14-17)

7. Through cults that puff up and imitate the gospel (Col. 2:18-23)

By all these means, unsuspecting souls are being carried off as plunder and booty by false teachers. The founders of false religions and human philosophies which pamper the flesh and give their victims elated feelings of importance make an appeal to them.

Christianity is loaded down with some false concept. Some little believe system, which are spread by false believers. One of such teaching is that you must “Look like Christians” How does Christians look? Genuine Christianity is not an external thing but of the heart and spirit.

Micah 6:8 (KJV)He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

When cults capture a newly converted Christians, the cult first job on that new believer is to close their mind. Preventing the new believer from reading any material from other churches. So that new believer will never get out of their trap.

YOUR HORMONE DOES NOT STOP WORKING WITH CHRISTIANITY.

Philip. 3:20-21 (KJV)For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: [21] Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Romans 8:23 (KJV) And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Our bodies were not save at conversion. The work of redemption took place in your spirit man. Our body will be redeemed at the return of our lord. We are still waiting for the redemption of our body.

According to Philip 3:20-21 and Romans 8:23. You are still going to have urges. You have to present your body to the lord as a living sacrifice. Not dead one. Living sacrifice give trouble, you will have trouble keeping that body tied to the altar. However, as you and I grow in the lord what seem impossible will be quite possible.
